Ash's POV.
"What's on your mind, Ash?" Professor Kukui noted after school the next day.

"Something's wrong with Kiawe," I stated.

"Like what?"

"I don't know, but I do know that something is on his mind and bothering him. I guess that I think that he hasn't been himself lately."

"Should I talk to his parents?"

"I don't know. I'm afraid he's going to get hurt if he doesn't open up to someone."

Professor Kukui nodded as Gladion and Cally walked past us. Cally paused in her tracks.

"What's wrong with Kiawe? He's avoiding me," she asked, turning around to face us. Gladion turned around too.

"We don't know," I replied.

"He knows," Gladion announced. Kukui looked shocked when I glanced at him. Cally was lost for words. Her hand flew to cover her mouth.

"How does he know?" Kukui said in pure shock.

He listened in on your conversation with Professor Burnet. I was in the trees with Umbreon."

"He knows what?" I questioned, not understanding anything that was being said.

"He knows about my dead sister?" Cally whispered with tears in her eyes.

"My wife said that you two did not deserve to live. Her parents' Pokemon were the ones who killed your sister. They wanted you both dead," Kukui explained sadly.

"No," she breathed, tears streaming down her small face.

"Cally," Gladion called out.

Cally was shaking uncontrollably. Gladion grabbed her arms and shook her gently. But she wasn't with us. It was like she was in a trance.

"Cally, look at me. Can you hear us?" Kukui asked.

"Cally," I mumbled.
