Chap.☕15

Gladion's POV.
I looked around at the boys. There was this weird feeling inside my chest, and something just didn't feel right.

"Truth or dare, Gladion?" Sophocles asked me.

"Dare. Cause you know, why not," I shrugged.

"Okay, I dare you to reveal your true feelings about your partner." His smirk said it all. This was no game.

The boys snickered, chuckled, or just simply smirked at each other.

"Alright. Well me and Cally have been partners for 7 years, and we're pretty close. We used to do a lot of things together before my dad passed away 5 years ago. Since then, I went out at night, and she went out during the day. Cally and I have been through a lot together. She basically never leaves my side. I don't leave hers unless I have to. But even then, I make sure she's in my sight," I answered.

"Wow," Brock whistled.

"But that doesn't relate to the question," Sophocles commented.

"We're not dating. I'll tell you that much. But I do love my partner, more than anyone can or will realize. I will protect her with any cost. I'll put her life, happiness, and needs before my own." I smiled slightly.

"You do have a way with words, don't you, Gladion?" Ash asked. A phone started ringing.

"That's the house phone," Kiawe frowned. Kiawe's mother then walked in, holding the house phone.

"You're on speaker," she said to whoever was on the other end.

"Gladion, it's your partner. Can you and the boys come to my place ASAP?" Lillie panted.

"Is she okay?" I shot up into crouching position.

"We don't know. She's crying and throwing up. She won't eat anything we give her and-"

"We're on our way. For now take her mind off of this. She likes to watch the Pokemon play. Do what you need to. Tell her I'm on my way," I voiced.

"On it," she said and hung up.

"Are you boys going to be okay?" Kiawe's mom questioned worriedly.

"Mom, we'll be fine," Kiawe stated.

"Alright. Call me when you guys land."

"We will," Brock assured her.

We walked out to our flying Pokemon, and climbed on. I borrowed Noivern from Cally.

This was bad. Cally hasn't thrown up in a while. Does she miss home? Me?

"Her sister," I whispered to myself.

"Yo, come on, Gladion," Ash called.

"Let's go, Noivern," I ordered.

With that, we all took off into the night.
