Kiawe's POV.
The classroom was suffocating me. I turned my back to the boys and exited the room. Ash, and a few others, were calling after me.

"Let's go Charizard," I stated, hopping on him. The guys came running out when Charizard spread out his wings.

"Kiawe! Wait!" Sophocles shouted after me.

"I will find Cally and keep her safe since her partner can't," I barked.

I patted Charizard on the neck twice, and he took off.

"Kiawe!" Ash yelled.

I ignored them and kept going, not looking back.

"Where do you think she could be?" I asked Charizard.

We've been flying for over half an hour now. I was starting to get worried.

"Char," he said.

"Yeah, come on."

Charizard and I flew on and on for another hour or so. I spotted something in the trees, running.

"There!" I pointed out the figure as Charizard dove in.

I grabbed the person when I was in arm length. I hoisted her onto my Pokemon. She was heavier with her bookbag on her back, but I managed.

The girl looked up at me with her beautiful blue eyes that were filled with tears. What pained me the most was that her skin was ice cold.

"Cally," I breathed. She curled up into my chest, sobs erupting from her shaking frame.

"Yo-you came for me?" she asked between sobs.

"Of course I did. I was worried about you and came to find you since no one else wanted to," I soothed her. I rubbed gentle circles on her back.

I knew that rubbing circles on a girl's back is the most affectionate way to calm her down. I kissed the top of her head softly.

"Is Gladion still mad at me?" she cried. At least her sobs are dying down.

"I'm afraid he is," I mumbled sadly.

"I'm so sorry that I put so much trouble on you, Kiawe," she whispered.

"It's okay. Don't worry about me. Okay?"

"O-okay."

"Do you need anything?"

"I need the rest of my Pokemon from the cave me and Gladion have been living in since his dad died."

Her words crushed my heart. How did she get food or fresh, clean water, or even warmth and shelter? Nevertheless, I nodded at her, and Charizard followed the scent to the cave.

After we collected her Pokemon, I decided to ask, "Do you want to stay at my place until you feel comfortable with coming back to school?"

"No, no!" She rushed out. "No, please. I couldn't do that. I don't wanna be a pain or a hastle." She blushed slightly before glancing away.

"I insist."

She gazed at me. Her shocked eyes were adorable, and she nodded. I smiled at her reassuring her that everything was okay.

With that, we flew off in the night, back to my island.
