Background: this is a camp meeting. As the enemy is Eva's father, she's there too.

Chiron sighed, rubbing his forehead. Annabeth and Eva exchanged nervous glances. "So?" Connor Stoll prompted. "What are we going to do?"

Chiron gave the table a hard look. "I suppose we'll have to go with Piper's plan. Try to scare the mortals into surrendering, go to war only if absolutely necessary, and then use the Mist to remove all traces of our world from their memories."

For a moment, the only sound was Grover Underwood nervously chomping on a soda can.

Eva cleared her throat. "Why do we have to remove ourselves? Thousands of years ago, the mortals were completely aware of our existence. Why shouldn't we leave ourselves in their memories again?"

"It might be too much for their brains to handle," Will Solace said. "It could drive over half the world insane."

"But we wouldn't have to live in hiding anymore," Eva argued. "We've hidden ourselves away for hundreds of years. And so far, America seems fine, more or less. I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of hiding."

Clarisse La Rue nodded. "Castman's right. We've hidden for too long. Maybe it's time to bring the gods back, once and for all."

"But which gods?" Katie Gardner asked. "Greek? Roman? Norse? Egyptian? Which group gets to take control of the universe?"

They were quiet for a long moment.

"First things first," Chiron said. "We have to win the war President Johnson has declared on us. Then we can worry about the memory wipe."

"I suggest a full scale attack on the White House," Jason Grace said, leaning forward. "Chariots, pegasi, automatons, Festus. The works."

Eva hummed thoughtfully. "That could work. We put the Aphrodite campers with charmspeak near the front of the army-"

"To manipulate the officials' minds into giving in," Piper McLean finished excitedly. Then her excitement wavered. "But... wouldn't that be wrong?"

Clarisse rolled her eyes. "They're trying to kill all of us! Forget 'wrong!' We have to save ourselves now. The gods won't help us. Realistically, they're popping their godly popcorn right now and getting ready for a spectacle."

Chiron stood up gravely. "Then it is decided. We will launch a full-scale attack on the White House. We will meet in three days to discuss details. Meeting dismissed."
