All right, guys, here's where it gets interesting.

When the announcement came, Eva and Leo were in her room.

Per usual, the door was slightly open, but Chris and Clara were watching a movie in the living room, so after a few moments of trying to work on Leo's next project (a mini-Festus), they'd given up and starting kissing. Maybe not quite making out, but damn close.

Looking back, Eva wished they'd ignored the PSA and just kept kissing.

Every inch of her was warm, blushing, and pressed against him. He was warm, too, the way his fire powers always kept him. She thought she would be totally fine with staying there, with him, forever.

Until the movie playing in the background stopped, with the words "EMERGENCY PRESIDENTIAL ANNOUNCEMENT."

Reluctantly pulling back, Eva met Leo's eyes. "We should go in the living room."

He hesitated. His voice was hoarse. "Anna, it wouldn't take a genius to look at us and figure out... you know."

She blushed a little. "Yeah, but it sounds important."

His fingers were pressed against her skin, just under the hem of her shirt. He sighed. "Yeah, okay."

Eva ran her hands through her hair, trying to neaten it ("Did you have to get it so tangled?" "You weren't complaining earlier." Smack. "Ow!"), and they walked into the living room just in time to catch the words "half-blood."

On screen, President Johnson was warning the country about them. About demigods. Saying they were dangerous, that they needed to be killed. Eva's breathing sped up. She was dimly aware of falling into an arm chair. "Sir, why now would you tell us about this?" asked a reporter.

"Their most powerful weapon, the Mist, has fallen. It keeps them secret, but now we can find them."

Eva gasped. "Oh, gods. Hecate!"

Leo sat on the arm of her chair. She leaned her head into his side, and his hand fell to her arm. "Anna... what are we going to do?" All trace of his joker self was gone.

She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to think logically, rationally. "We should go to Camp Half-Blood."

"How did he know?" Clara asked.

Chris and Eva shared a look. "Me," she said in a small voice. "Leo, that's... that's my father."
