Am I A Murderer?

"No!" Louis yelled walking up to the now dead body. "Oh my god." "Shit".
"We could get medicine. From the nurse's office." " He's dead! The kid blew his brains out."

"You shot him. He's dead. You're a murderer." Louis said in disbelief looking towards AJ in disgust. "You promised Marlon! You said you'd help him fix things! What the fuck did you teach this kid!" He shouted at Clem and me.

I panicky look around at everyone staring at us. And Clem notices Mitch clench his fists. But Violet quickly reacted by pulling out her clever yet again and protectively standing in front of AJ. "Back off, all of you!" 

"You talked Marlon down, and they fucking murdered him!" Louis shouted. Mitch glared at Clementine taking a step forward. "Take AJ and go inside." Violet instructed me and Clem. "Come on, let's go." Clementine calmly mentioned to AJ as she was walked towards the dorm doors and I followed. "Oh, just let them go back to the dorms!? What happens the next time one of us does something this kid doesn't like?! Should we expect a bullet too?!" Louis argued with Violet.  Clem stopped on her track and turned around now facing Lou. "That's not what happened." Vi defended. "That's exactly what happened. It was over 'till Mr Trigger-Happy decided otherwise." Louis shot back. 

I watch the scene unfold in front of me not knowing what to do. "Marlon started this he killed Brody!" Clementine stated. "AJ did what he had to do." 

"What he had to?! he didn't have to shoot Marlon in the fucking skull. It was over."  Louis shouted back. "We get it Louis just back off ok?" Violet tried to resolve the situation as much as she could. "Back off? seriously?!" 

"Let's go." I say walking off with AJ and Clem. "Saved you from that car wreck and you fucking murdered him?!"  Mitch aggressively pointed to me.  "Get back Mitch." Clementine said standing next to me. "Get, Back." AJ repeated trying to seem stern.  

Mitch gave him a quick glance before pulling out a knife. "Or what?" He pointed it at knife at us. "Your gonna let him kill me too? Then who's next? Assim? Willy?" He continued to question us. "Haven't enough people died tonight? Brody, Marlon we can't keep killing each other." Clementine responded. "How the fuck are you saying that to me after what he did?" Mitch shook his head in disbelief. "Screw both of you." And with those words, he went back to the group of kids surrounding the body.

We left to the dorms. 

I woke up to a beam of sunshine in my face. I cringe and sit up. A smell of coffee hit my nose as I look up at Clem to see her holding a mug. "You want some?" She teasingly asked holding it up to me. "Eww no. You know I hate that stuff." I turn away in disgust. She chuckled turning back to AJ who was standing in front of the bed.

"I heard Louis and what he called me..." AJ started. "Am I a murderer?" He asked. I look at Clem not knowing what to say.

I sat on the edge of the bed. "Louis called me a murderer. But... We're supposed to kill bad stuff. Monsters? Did I do bad." He continues to wonder. "I thought Marlon was bad."

As predicted Clem didn't know what to say either. There was i moment of silence before she spoke "Louis was wrong what you did was justified." She said. "Justified?"

"It means that you had a reason for doing it." She explained. "I was justified." AJ concluded. "They better not call me a monster. They were scared of me even though Marlon was the bad guy. I'm not scary." He complained. "I didn't act like a monster."

"We know your not. We'll just have to prove them that." I say. "I'll tell them they're wrong. They'll know once someone explains it to them. Like you teach me." AJ suggested.

"AJ come and sit with us." Clementine patted the spot on the bed in between us. "We've got nothing to apologise for. You saved us and them form a monster. They'll see that we'll make them."

"You've killed a lot of people before. Did you kill your friend Lee because he was a monster?" AJ asked. I could see the sadness flash in Clem's eyes at the mentioning of his name. "What bought that on?" She replied to the touchy question. "Was it murder when you shot him?"

"I killed him because I loved him. I didn't want him to suffer." I tried giving her a reassuring smile yet it only turned into a sad one. "How he'd be dead?" AJ gave Clementine a confused expression. "He would have turned I didn't want that for him. He deserved better."

"I love you Clem and I love you Y/n." We both smile down at the boy sitting between us. "I love you too." "I love you back." We replied hugging him.
