So we have decided that Clementine will go to the greenhouse with Mitch the dickhead and Ruby, but we left so Violet could talk to them.

Once we left the office Clem and I were going to check on Aj but saw Louis by the couch. He seemed to mumble something to Aj before glancing at us and leaving. I slowly walk up to Aj. "His temperature is going down, that's good," I inform the brunette standing behind me. "Ok let's get goin'." We heard Ruby's voice as she exited the office with grumpy Mitch following her. He glared at Clem as she made her way over to the two and they proceeded to head to the greenhouse.

"Get better goofball." I say gently kissing his forehead. I stood up and went to check on Violet in who was still for some reason in the office. As I open the door I see the blond standing and facing the huge window outside seeming to be in deep thoughts. I walk up standing next to her. "What are you thinking 'bout?" I asked. She took a brief look at me and then back at the scene before us. "Just about the whole shit with the raiders and that Minnie is actually alive, It's just so hard to take in. I'm worried that we won't be prepared enough, I'm worried that I'll lose someone again. I don't want to be left alone." She sighed looking down.

"Honestly, I'm terrified of losing someone as well Aj, Clem... You." I shyly continue to look forward while feeling her stare at me. "We can protect each other." She suggested and I nodded with a smile. "So since we have time to kill and we are starting the preparation tomorrow, how about we..." I thought for a moment of something interesting to do. Not being able to think of anything that great she just suggested the first thing that came to her mind. "Go and have a walk around?" She chuckled but nodded making me smile.

We left the yard and I held the gate open for her. She playfully rolled her eyes as she walked out but I saw a slight smirk appear on her lips. I then shut the gate and ran up to Vi who was heading in a random direction. "Where are we going?" I ask. She shrugged. "Somewhere." We slowly walked observing the woods.

The silence hung over us. It wasn't an awkward one. More peaceful, seemed like the world didn't go to hell after all. I felt like that almost every time I was with Violet. As we kept close to each other our hands almost touching. I got a huge urge to hold it to feel her warm palm to intertwine our fingers and walk with no care in the world, fuck it, as I reached my hand.

I was stopped by a growl we heard to our right. I turn around to see a walker that was heading our way. Violet quickly takes out her clever and struck it down. "Anyway..." She started looking at the dead walker. "If you don't mind me asking, can you tell me about your past in more detail." I thought for a second. "Ok, but... You have to tell me why you got into the "Troubled youth" School in the first place." I say. She nodded. "Deal."

And with that, I began to tell my story from the start. "Well, my mother cheated on that poor excuse of a guardian. After she died and he was my worst nightmare. He hated my guts. And Lily wasn't great at standing up to him either. Eventually, she became just like him. So when the world went to hell we survived in an abandoned pharmacy, That's how I met Clem, The poor excuse of a father died because of a heart attack. And Lily left after killing one of our group members. I was left alone but Lee, the guy who looked after clementine since it all started. He got a bit and told a couple in our group to take care of us when he dies. They did but I don't know if they are alive... So we went from group to group but they either were pretty evil or died so we stayed on our own on the road until the car crash." I finish my story looking up at Vi.

"Welp I guess it my turn... I spent a lot of time at my grandma's house growing up, what with my dad being a drunk and my mom working three jobs. But after my grandpa died, grandma just kinda... shut down. Spent all day and night rocking in her chair in the den. I'd sit there at her feet as we both watched TV, mostly cartoons since she never seemed to care. Sometimes I could hear her crying, but I didn't look back. I'd just feel really weird and turn up the volume, you know? Anyway, one day she left the den and came back with another chair and a .22 rifle. Set the rifle butt on the top of that chair, holding the barrel back to her chest. so, you know... she had trouble to reaching the trigger this way, but she must have known it would happen... Because she took out this really tacky wooden backscratcher, the really long kind with one end shaped like a hand, and used that to pull the trigger. So... yeah. Bang, right? Her body folded up and just kept... rocking. My mom came to get me five hours later. I hadn't moved. She asked, why I didn't call the police or an ambulance or anything. I shrugged and told her it wasn't like grandma was going anywhere... and besides, I just wanted to finish my cartoons. She shipped me off to Ericson's the next day. I was eleven." She finished the whole mood seemed to be flooded by gloom. I give her a side hug. "I-I know you might think I'm-" I cut her off before she can say anything. "I don't care about your past you are very sweet, nice and kind, You care about others and that's the Violet I know." I give her a smile, I think my eyes are playing tricks on me but is that a blush I see.

"Thanks... Let's head back they are probably coming back soon." She hurriedly said leading the way while I awkwardly followed.

(a/n: Ok, I know this is bad but honestly I tried to use all my brain power yet clearly its still shit... oh well sorry m'dudes the next chapter will be better.)
