Rosealie's golden eyes glared at the pack of shape shifters across the clearing. Her nose wrinkled in disgust at the foul stench the wolves brought with them and tried to shuffle upwind of them so it wasn't so bad. Though she did give a smirk when she was now upwind of them and one of them glared at her when they smelled her. It was the only enjoyment she had during this stupid training. She hated that she even had to be here or that her family had to dot his at all. It was Edward's fault for their family being in danger. He just had to fall in love with a stupid human girl prone to danger. Rose snarled under her breath at the fore mentioned vampire who turned to glare at her for the thoughts she was having. It was his fault their family was risking their lives to fight an army of newborns. It was his fault that the threat of the Volturi was hovering over them. It was his fault that a human girl with so much life to live was desperate to give it all up. She wouldn't have chosen this life for herself. She wanted to get married to a good man, have children, grow old and watch her grandchildren grow. Granted, Carlisle had saved her from a horrible death and brought her into his family. It was there that she met her mate. Rose never would have thought she would find her soul mate in a woman. As a human she was never drawn to women in any way, but now she was head over heels for sweet Amber Cullen.

Amber Cullen was a soft spoken dark haired beauty. She was the first that Carlisle had turned. Saving her when she was crushed during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. She was the daughter of a banker and raised a proper young lady. She was eager to follow Carlisle's beliefs on human life and it was easy for her follow their diet. Not once had she ever been tempted once she was out of her newborn year. She was turned at 17 so she started the trend of posing at Carlisle's adoptive daughter. A few years later Carlisle turned Edward hoping for him to be Amber's mate. Yet the two were clearly meant to only be siblings. Then Esme came and they started to become a true family. Amber had been working on making a beautiful blanket as a gift for Esme when Carlisle brought home a broken Rosealie. The two instantly were drawn to each other and Rose at first was unhappy. She thought she was happy and in love with her ex. Who was a man. But now she had learned that her soul mate was an equally beautiful woman. Amber had been patient and waited for Rose though. Never once pushing her and letting her choose the pace of their relationship. Amber was the only one capable of calming Rose's temper. The only one who had convinced Rose to stay and help protect their family and Bella. And she was the only one who had been able to convince Rose to fight alongside those mangy mutts.

At the thought of her mate Rose smiled and turned her eyes to find Amber sitting beautifully on a rock. Her eyes were closed as she enjoyed the breeze in her hair and would kick her feet gently. Rose noticed that Amber had kicked off her shoes and was amused to find her toes painted a pale green. Rose had told her this morning that she loved the color on her.

Rose turned away and began to narrow her eyes. A scowl took over her lips as she found a familiar gray wolf stripping her mate with his eyes. It was the same wolf that had tackled Emmett the night they chased Victoria. Paul Lahote. A known womanizer of the local reservation. She had heard plenty of stories of how he treated women and the idea of him thinking lustful thoughts about her Amber made her snarl in rage.

Rose stalked towards her mate, never taking her eyes off the wolf. She challenged him to give her a reason to kill him. When she came to Amber's side she gave a smirk as her mate curled into her side. Amber pressed a kiss to Rose's neck and happily hummed, excited that Rose had finally decided to join her. She turned her eyes up and tilted her head in confusion. Amber turned her head and rolled her eyes were she spotted Rose and the gray wolf staring each other down.
"Rose, baby, leave the wolf alone." She mumbled as she pressed her lips to her cheek.
"He has been looking at you like a piece of meat. Couldn't you have worn  pants or a longer shirt?" Rose growled and snarled towards Paul.
"Well he can keep staring." Amber smiled and turned Rose to face her.
"You knew he was watching you." Rose accused and narrowed his eyes.
"Edward told me. He is confused and horrified that he finds me attractive. I am his mortal enemy yet he wants 'to shred my of my clothing and make me scream.' Edward was rather disturbed at the thought." Amber shrugged her shoulders and leaned back against the rock so she could watch Jasper and Emmett's fight.

Rose's eyes darkened and she bared her teeth at Paul. The wolf stopped from letting his eyes roam Amber and found hers. Even though he had no intention of touching the beautiful vampire it didn't mean he didn't wish she was human. Then he could touch her. Rose pulled her mate to her feet and pressed Amber's back to her chest. Her arms wrapped around Amber's waist and she nuzzled her face into her neck, marking her with her scent. She wanted the wolf to know that she was hers. Her mate. Her woman. Her wife. Her Amber. And she dared him to look at her again.

Paul huffed and turned his head away from the two female vampires, 'Of course they are together. The two hot ones. Bet that's a sight to see.'

'Paul. Shut up.' Jared gagged and tried to shake the images of the two women that Paul was thinking about.

'Do you think the blonde is the top?'

'Paul. Seriously. Stop.'

Amber sighed happily as she turned her head and caught Rose's lips with hers. She let Rose take the lead and squeaked when Rose pull her lip between her teeth. She pulled away and giggled when Rose kissed her nose. The two mates turned their attention back to Jasper when he coughed to get their attention. Rose gave a sly smirk and wrapped an arm around Amber's waist.

'The blonde is definitely the top.'

'PAUL!'
