Annie sat at the table with Reneesme creating small works of art and laughing as the small hybrid tried to eat a marshmallow for the first time. Annie gave a soft sad smile as she remembered the taste of the sweet treat which now only tasted similar to eating dirt. She was still technically a newborn having only been a vampire for ten months so she remembered human life rather well. Annie was the newest addition to the Cullen family (besides Reneesme and Bella) and had been found by Esme during her transition. While she was physically older than Carlisle in human years she still took to him as a father figure, but once she was ready to be around humans she would play the part of Carlisle's only slightly elder sister. And an aunt to the rest of the Cullens.

As Reneesme began to cut out her paper rabbits Annie's ears caught the sound of a commotion outside her fingers tighten around the paint brush in her hand, accidentally snapping it in half. Reneesme yelped at the sound and reached over to touch Annie's hand. The touch of the little hybrid calmed the newborn as she sent her calming thoughts. When the two heard a strange new voice laughing they slowly crept towards the small clearing by the house. When the rest of the Cullens and their allies came into view Annie pressed herself and her niece to a tree out of view. She could hear new voice of two males and catch a strange accent she hadn't heard before. She was nervous and would protect her niece against any threat, but she had no special gift except for her newborn abilities.

"We have waited a thousand years for the Italian scum to be chall-" Stephan's voice lost it's sound when the wind changed and a new scent filled his nose. It was sweet like white wine and Dog Roses.

He turned his head to catch Vladimir's eyes growing wide and his nose tilted into the air. Both ancient vampires turned their heads to face the direction of the scent. Behind a thick tree they could hear a strange heartbeat and sensed the presence of two beings tucked behind the tree. Vladimir stood slowly and took a step closer in the direction of the tree, Stephan carefully following. They stopped when they caught sight of a young child being pulled further out of sight by a woman's hand.

"Annie? It's alright. You can come out with Reneesme." Edward softly spoke nervous to frighten his new sister.

Annie gave took an unnecessary breath of air and slowly walked out from the behind the tree, Reneesme tucked behind her back. When the newborn came into view both Romanians froze and gaped at the sight. She was small, similarly to Alice, with short honey blonde hair and golden eyes. Even a vampire could mistake her for being blood related to Carlisle for they shared striking features and personality. When one set of gold eyes met two sets of red the world stopped for the three immortals. They could feel the golden bond of mates tether them to each other. They could feel their skin crying out to touch. And their minds screamed a single word over and over again.

The Romanians had been waiting over four thousand years for this very moment. They had met a vampire in their early years who could sense others mates. She could tell them if one's mate was mortal or immortal, vampire or human, dead or alive, but she had simply told them their mate, shared mate, had yet to be born. And now here she was.

As Reneesme went into her mother's arms, Bella stared shocked at the three seemingly frozen vampires. Everyone around them was awkwardly waiting for someone to speak. The elder vampires knew what was happening, but being a newborn herself she was rather confused. It wasn't until Edward bent down to whisper into her ear that she connected the dots.

"Vladimir and Stephan have been waiting over four thousand years to finally find her."

Even though he whispered it every vampire in the surronding circle heard it. It was then Carlisle stepped forward and placed his hand on Annie's shoulder, breaking the spell. Annie broke eye contact with the two men in front of her and nervously turned her head to Carlisle.

"Annie. I would like to introduce you to Vladimir and Stephan, old... Friends of mine. Vladimir, Stephan, this is Annie, the newest addition to our coven. She is still newborn and has a hard time trusting strangers." Carlisle spoke as he connected with the Romanians, giving them a father like warning in his eyes.

"Annie. A lovely name. Is it short for something I wonder?" Stephan spoke first to ease the tension between them.

"Annalise." She softly mumbled and the brothers felt their dead heart almost flutter at the sound of her voice.

"Let us give them some privacy." Carlisle nodded to the other vampires and they left the three immortals alone in the clearing.

Stephan took a slow step towards the young newborn desperate to finally hold the mate he has waited for over four thousand years. Annie watched him closely taking notice of his dark hair and olive skin. He was a dark opposite of Vladimir who was ashy skinned and had hair as white as snow. When Stephan stopped a foot away from her she could see the restraint he used to keep from scaring her. He held out his hand and waited for her to take it. Annie looked between the two men and when she saw no ill intent she placed in her small hand in his.

"It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Annalise Cullen." Stephan spoke softly as he lifted her hand and pressed his lips to her skin. He closed his eyes as he inhaled her scent and gave a content purr,"I am Stephan, Iubirea mea. May I say that you are far more beautiful than I could have ever imagined?"

Annie looked down at her hand in his and giggled lightly before looking up to Vladimir, who had moved to stand beside his brother. The blonde Romanian couldn't take his eyes off his mate. He had been waiting so long and now here she was in front of him. Annie gasped as he yanked her towards his chest. His hands wrapped around her arms to hold her and he buried his nose into her hair.

"Prietenul meu frumos." His voice was like that of a whisper as he breathed in her scent.

From a safe distance away Rosealie watched as the new found mates embraced and Stephan slowly joined into the hug. In the short time Annie had joined their family she had felt lonely and Rose knew this was why. She had been waiting for them. And they had been waiting for her.
