The Scared Broken Boy [COMPLETE]

Chapter 7

        Logan gently stood up with a sleeping Jake in his arms. Jake wrapped his arms around Logan's neck tightly in his sleep. Logan walked back over to the blankets where the rest of their friends are. Tydus fell asleep in his mom's arms and he doesn't have an ice pack on him anymore. "Is Jake okay?" Anthony asked, concerned about his best friend. "Yeah," Logan said as he sat down on the blanket, trying not to wake Jake up, "Just still worried about the whole situation and not wanting anyone to get hurt." "Awww," everybody said. Logan kept his sleeping little brother close to him as they all talked. Some fans did come over them and talked a little and take pictures. Most of them were admiring how adorable Jake looks and tried asking who he actually is and what his name is. All of Team 10 and Team Maverick kept going along with the fake story they made earlier. "What's his actual name?" a fan asked Logan. "What do you mean?" Logan asked, acting like he is joking around, "He's Jake!" The fan laughed and everybody else did too. The fan took a picture with Logan and sleeping Jake in his arms. The fan said thanks and left. "Well, I got to go to a meeting," Jeff said as he stood up. Everybody said bye and he left. "How are we going to do Jake's vlog?" Ari asked. "I guess just record some funny clips of Jake acting like himself?" Logan suggested, "Like Tydus has!" "Okay," Ari said, liking that idea. "Well, everyone seems tired, so should we head back to the Team 10 house and have some lunch?" Trav asked as he walked up to the blanket with a sleeping RyRy in his arms. Everybody agreed and packed everything up and head to the cars.

        Jake woke up from a nightmare in Logan's arms in the Team 10 van. He looked out the window and saw they're on the road. He looked around the van and saw everyone talking, laughing, and singing along to the music. Logan noticed Jake is up and looks confused and kind of scared. He's breathing kind of heavily and has one tear going down his face. Logan held Jake close to him and gently played with Jake's hair. Jake started to immediately calm down and started to get tired again. "We're heading back home," Logan whispered softly into Jake's ear as Jake starts to fall back asleep. "Okay," Jake mumbled softly into Logan's chest and then fell asleep again. Logan let out a sigh and rest his head against the window as he looks out it. Jake doesn't deserve this at all, Logan thought to himself, I wish I could go back in time and stop the girl in time or make me get injected with that stupid thing instead. Erika, Tessa, and Mike saw all of what just happened and they smiled a little at each other, thinking how good of brothers they are to each other and how much they need each other. "Logan is gonna be a great dad just like how he is a great older brother," Mike whispered to them. "Agreed," Erika and Tessa both said. They continued to talk to everybody else, except Erika glanced over at Logan and Jake again. She noticed Logan fell asleep with his head leaned against the window and Jake asleep in his arms, clinging onto him tightly. She took her phone out and secretly took a photo of them. She sent the photo to Logan's and Jake's phones. She put her phone back into her pocket and then started to talk to Tessa.

        Jake woke up to a bump they hit in the road and the sound of his friends talking, laughing, and singing to music that's playing from the radio. He noticed that they're like 10 minutes from their house. Must've gotten stuck in traffic, Jake thought to himself, The park isn't that far from home. He realized that Logan is asleep with his head against the window and his arms wrapped around him protectively. He didn't mind and buried his face into Logan's chest against, yawning. "Have a good nap?" Erika asked Jake. She is next to them and Tessa is sitting on the other side of her. Jake nodded his head and yawned again. "I've been getting more tired," Jake mumbled tiredly. "Well, you are three right now," Tessa said and giggled. Jake chuckled a little and then looked out the window. "True," he said. Erika and Tessa laughed and then continued to chat with each other. Jake softly hummed along with the song as he looked out the window, slowly waking up more. Some other people in the van started singing along to the song since they all know it and being loud as usual. The rest just chat and being loud too. Logan woke up to the noise and looked down to see Jake awake now, clinging onto him while looking out the window. Logan softly played with his hair as he watched everyone else, waking up now too. Jake smiled a little and looked up at Logan. Logan looked down at Jake and smiled a little too. "Look whose finally up," Logan said with a chuckle. "You fell asleep too," Jake said in defense. "Yeah, for like 5 minutes," Logan said. Jake glared at Logan which looked kind of intimidating which it usually does, but mostly really adorable on his small little face now. "Awww," Logan said which made Jake blush and bury his face into Logan's chest. Logan laughed and kissed Jake's head. Jake laughed too and then they heard, "Awww!" They looked over and saw everybody watching them. "Oh," Logan said. Everybody laughed and then continued to chat. Jake started to softly hum along to the music that's playing on the radio and thought no one could hear him, but Logan could. Logan chuckled a little and Jake stuck his tongue out to Logan. Logan did it back and Jake laughed. Logan laughed too and then tickled Jake, causing Jake to die of laughter. Logan stopped and Jake softly hit him, both of them laughing. They reached the house and everybody got out of the van. Jake walked between Logan and Mike, skipping sometimes too since he's in a good mood. "Even when he does have his mind completely in control, he still has some little kid things he likes to do?" Mike asked. "Yeah," Logan said, "It's really cute and funny." Jake walked inside and Apollo ran up to him. He tackled Jake and started licking him a lot, causing Jake to laugh. Logan made Apollo stop and Jake sat up, wiping his face off now. Everybody else laughed and some even got it recorded on their phones for their Instagram stories. Jake stood up and Apollo barked at him, wanting to play. Everybody else spread out through the house to vlog or just hang out or help make lunch. Jake grabbed Apollo's collar and walked over to the living room with him where some dog toys are. Thor, Team 10's golden retriever, is resting on the couch, watching people walk by. Athena is hanging out with Anthony right now. Logan chuckled softly as he watched Jake look through the basket of dog toys with Apollo. "I'm gonna be in the backyard vlogging with Spencer and Mike if you need me," Logan said as they walk away. "Okay!" Jake said with a smile to him. He grabbed a red bouncy ball and Apollo barked at it, looking like he is smiling. Jake threw it across the house as far as he can which isn't too far since he doesn't have as much strength as he used to have. Apollo ran after it and grabbed it with his sharp teeth. He ran back over to Jake and set it down on the ground in front of Jake. "Good boy," Jake said with a smile and pet Apollo. He grabbed the ball and they ran over to the front door together. They went out front where some other people are hanging out or vlogging. Jake went over to the grass and threw the ball. Apollo chased after it and then brought it back. They did this for like 5 minutes, but then Jake noticed that Apollo started to act strangely. Apollo kept getting distracted and randomly barking towards the dirt track they all have made a while ago. "What's wrong Apollo?" Jake asked him, frowning. All of a sudden, Apollo bolted down the hill to the dirt track. "APOLLO!" Jake yelled and chased after him. "JAKE!" Chad yelled, getting other people's attention. Some people chased after Jake while the rest went to tell everybody else. "APOLLO, COME BACK!" Jake yelled as he chased Apollo. Apollo reached a shed that they have and Jake all of a sudden tripped and rolled down the hill to the shed. He stopped and slowly stood up, some cuts and bruises on him. Apollo repeatedly barked at the shed and Jake walked over to him. "Apollo, stop!" Jake yelled. He looked down at himself and has tons of dirt and cuts on him. "Ow," Jake said with a frown as a tear goes down his face and he brushes himself off. Apollo kept barking and Jake grabbed his collar, trying to pull him away. All of a sudden, the shed door flung open, scaring Jake. He fell back onto his back and Apollo immediately started guarding him. Jake looked up at his eyes landed on familiar icy blue eyes. The guy is in all black clothes and has a black mask covering his lower face. It's the same guy that tried to kidnap Jake before.
