Chapter 27

Warning: Minor violence & Emotional

        Logan gently picked up a tired Jake as he stood up from the couch while Trav picked up a tired Tydus. The credits of the movie are scrolling on the screen and Pam and Erika went into the kitchen to start planning dinner while everyone else went somewhere else in the house. Logan looked over at the wall and saw the time is 5:00 PM. He can see the sun is setting already outside. Trav carried Tydus upstairs to their room so Tydus can sleep a little before dinner and Logan started to carry Jake over to the stairs. "Logan," Jake mumbled tiredly into his shoulder, "Are all the police still here?" "Yes," Logan whispered softly as he walked upstairs and saw some officers standing upstairs guarding while some others are at other places around the house and outside, "They're going to keep watch and help keep us all safe." Logan carried Jake past bedroom doors until he reached Jake's room where two guards are standing at. He walked inside and shut the door behind him. "How about you take a nap and I'll come back upstairs to get you when dinner is done?" Logan whispered softly as he laid Jake down in bed. "Okay," Jake said softly and curled up under the blanket, burying his face into the pillow. "Alright, good night bro," Logan whispered and softly kissed Jake on the head, "I love you." "Good night, I love you too bro," Jake said with a tired smile to him and then closed his eyes. Logan smiled back and then stood up. He walked over to the bedroom doors and turned the light off before walking out, shutting the doors behind him.

        Jake woke up to the sound of voices and movement. He opened his eyes and sat up, yawning. When he opened his eyes, he saw the creepy guy in all black standing over the bed and the girl that stuck him with the syringe standing next to the guy, wearing a black mask over her face. Jake can remember those dark green eyes and brown hair up in the ponytail perfectly. Jake immediately screamed and tried to back away, but the creepy guy grabbed him tightly. "NO!" Jake yelled and tears started streaming down his face as he got flung over the guy's big shoulder, "HELP! LOGAN! MOM! ERIKA! ANTHONY! MIKE! CHAD! TESSA! ARIE! SPENCER! TRAV! COR! JEFF! POLICE! SOMEONE, PLEASE HELP!" He can hear his door knob rattling and then banging on the door as police officers started yelling. "Shut up!" The girl snapped at Jake as they climbed out the window. He started crying as the two kidnappers slid down a rope along the side of the house to the ground outside with him. Jake started wiggling in the guy's grip, but his grip just tightened around Jake. "HELP!" Jake cried out and he saw police officers and all of Team 10 and Team Maverick who woke up to the yelling run out the front door. The two kidnappers started running down the long drive-way and police officers ran after them, yelling. "GET BACK HERE!" "STOP, NOW!" "LET HIM GO!" Jake then saw Logan fighting against other officers guarding Team 10 and Team Maverick, trying to run after Jake. Jake's mind then finally switched as he got too scared and overwhelmed, not able to help it. His cries got louder and he wished this was all a huge nightmare he'll wake up from. Logan finally was able to her past the officers and quickly run after them. He was able to catch up to some officers, ignoring the yells to stay back. This is his little brother and he isn't going to let his little brother get taken away from him! Fear and adrenaline ran through Logan as he ran after Jake and the two kidnappers, ignoring the screams of people yelling at him to come back and others yelling and crying about Jake. All the screams around him turned to muffles and echoey as he watched Jake cry loudly with his little arms sticking out to him over the kidnappers shoulders, but they're way down the drive-way from him and the officers. The kidnappers ran out the front gate which are stuck open to a completely black van. "LOGEY!" Jake cried out to him before he got shoved in the back of a black van and they slammed the two back doors shut. Tears streamed down Logan's face as he panted and yelled, "JAKE!" He tried to run with police officers around him to the black van, but it was too late. The kidnappers were way ahead of them and already sped off down the road in the neighborhood even before they reached the gate. Logan stopped running and burst into tears, not able to hold them in anymore. He felt like he just got stabbed right in heart and like everything around him just stopped. It felt like the world fell around him and he fell down to his knees crying. I failed, Logan thought to himself, I told him I would protect him and everyone else. I told him I wouldn't let anyone take him from us...but I failed. He got taken and hurt! Logan looked up as other police officers surrounded him, panting too. He saw some others running down the drive-way still out of the front gate to their cars to chase after the black van. He then looked down and kept crying as the same thoughts kept going through his head: I failed...Jake got taken from us...my little brother is gone...

Sorry for such a short and emotional chapter! I wanted to keep this chapter kind of based on just that and I didn't really know what else to add. I also thought that was a good ending for this chapter. Once again, I'm so sorry, but I hope you still liked it! I'll try to post the next one tonight as well! :) ♡
