The Scared Broken Boy [COMPLETE]

Chapter 9

        Jake just finished eating lunch and is sitting on the counter top, watching his family eat and talk. Jake saw Logan and can tell he looks stressed out. Logan looks kind of tired and really worried. I should leave Logan alone for a bit and tell him to just finish his vlog, Jake thought to himself, He also probs have some meetings he's gonna try to miss and I know he has been working on quite a bit of stuff that's coming out soon, like new music and podcasts and animations for his channel. I'm a huge problem right now anyway and just stressing people out and making them worry. I want to make this the least amount of work as I can and not a huge problem. Jake let out a sigh and went to jump down from the counter, buf Tessa immediately grabbed him and set him down herself. "Thanks," Jake said with a smile. She smiled back and then ruffled his hair which caused him to laugh. He fixed his hair and then Logan walked over to him. He set his plate in the sink and then picked Jake up. "Did you finish your vlog?" Jake asked him. "Not yet," Logan said. "Go finish it then," Jake said. "I am, but I want to see how you're doing," Logan said, "Seems like something is bothering you." "Just kind of tired and stressed out," Jake said. "No, there's something else," Logan said and left the kitchen with Jake. He sat down on the white bean bags with Jake in his lap where no one else can hear them. "What's wrong?" Logan asked him. "Nothing," Jake said. "Stop lying to me," Logan said. Jake let out a sigh and looked down. He was about to answer, but then his mind randomly changed to full on 3 year old. Logan noticed and got confused. Logan stood up with Jake in his arms and Jake giggled. He walked into the kitchen and set Jake down on the island. "Jake just randomly changed to full on 3 year old mode," Logan said, getting everybody's attention. "Oh gosh," Mike said. Jake grabbed a spoon and started chewing on it. "I was afraid this was gonna happen soon," Erika said. "What?" Ari asked. "I talked to the doctor privately one time," Erika explained, "He said that Jake will most likely start to randomly change to full on 3 year old mode, even without certain strong emotions. It'll be harder for him to control it. It won't take over his mind 24/7 though!!!" "Oh no!" Tessa said. "He'll probably even be a littke troublemaker sometimes too then," Erika said, "Since he is 3." "So we should do some punishments then?" Logan suggested. "Yeah," Cortney said. Everybody agreed on that. Jake's mind went back to normal and he dropped the spoon down, letting out a sigh of relief. "Are you okay?" Mike asked him. "Yeah," Jake said, "I heard what you guys said. This is gonna suck even more now! Anyway, what punishments are you talking about?" "I think just timeouts and lecturing," Erika said. "Great," Jake said sarcastically and everybody laughed. "Logan, I have a meeting soon that I can't miss," Spencer said, "Let's finish up the vlog." "Okay," Logan said, "Jake, we're continuing that conversation later." "Okay," Jake said and Logan left. Everybody else started to spread out around the house, doing their own thing. "Anthony and Chad are on their way here with Apollo," Erika said, "Apollo will probably be sleeping for the rest of the night and most of the day." "Okay," Jake said with a smile. "The doctor is coming tomorrow to check on you," she said as they walked into the living room, "Want to watch a movie?" "Sure," Jakes said. They sat down on the couch and Thor walked over and sat down next to Erika on the couch. He curled up in her side. They picked a movie on Netflix and started to watch it.

        It's 5 PM now and Apollo has been home a couple hours now. He's been resting on the couch and mostly just sleeping or watching people walk by. Jake has been watching movies all day, resting with Apollo. He is stressed out and scared about this shrinking to 3 years old thing, but he won't admit it completely anymore. He wants to try to make this situation the least amount of trouble as he can for his family, but it's not working well. His family is worried about this a lot and trying to help out as much as they can. They don't mind helping Jake and will do anything to protect each other. Jake knows that, but still feels bad, especially for Logan who immediately stepped up with everybody else and started helping his little brother. Logan isn't lying when he says he will die for Jake and do anything for him. Logan walked into the living room and saw a movie playing on the TV and Jake asleep on the couch with a sleeping Apollo laying right next to him, giving him warmth. Logan smiled a little and walked over to Jake. He crouched down next to Jake and gently shook him. Jake mumbled in his sleep and rolled over on his side and hugged Apollo, burying his face into Apollo's soft fur. "Jakey, dinner is gonna be ready soon," Logan said softly. Jake let out a little yawn and rolled over onto his other side. He opened his eyes and Logan smiled a little. "Hey buddy," Logan said. "Hi," Jake said and yawned again. "Dinner is almost done," Logan said, "After we eat, we can finish our conversation we had earlier and watch some movies." "Okay," Jake said softly and closed his eyes. Logan frowned and can tell something is going on with Jake besides everything that happened the past 2 days. Logan gently kissed Jake's head which made Jake smile and open his eyes. Jake stuck his arms out and Logan picked Jake up. He rest his back against the couch and Jake sat in his lap. Jake hugged Logan and his eyes started to get watery, feeling really bad for making people worry about him and go through all of this with him. Logan saw a tear go down Jake's face and made Jake look up at him. "What's wrong?" Logan asked him. "I..." Jake said softly, his voice cracking a little, "I-I'm sorry." "For what?" Logan asked him. "For everything!" Jake said and started crying a lot. People from around the house walked over and what they saw broke their hearts. Jake is sitting in Logan's lap and sobbing loudly. Logan hugged Jake and tried to calm him down, but Jake wouldn't. Tydus and RyRy started crying too and Trav and Cor had to carry them to the kitchen to calm them down. Jake pushed Logan's arms away and stood up and ran away, feeling weak, embarrassed, and scared. He can tell his mind is about to switch and he tried to calm himself down, but couldn't. All of a sudden, his mind switched to full on 3 year old mode and started crying even harder. His regular mind inside him didn't help with the thoughts that he is just causing problems for everybody. It caused him to keep crying and even harder. Team 10 ran after him and tried to catch him, but Jake kept zigzagging around the house and some how being really sneaky. He ran into the merch room and hid behind the stack of boxes that are filled with merch. He hugged his legs to his chest and cried into them as he listens to his family run around the house, calling his name. "Where did he go?!?" Mike asked. "I have no idea!" Cortney said. "I think his mind is completely 3 year old now," Ari said. "Probably," Anthony said. "Jake!" Chad yelled. Footsteps of them running around can be heard. Jake's cries died down a little and he peaked through a crack between boxes and can see his family walking by and looking. "Jake," Erika said, "Please come out!" Jake's mind went back to normal and he sat there shaking a little, scared and embarrassed and cold. It's almost winter time in L.A and it can get pretty cold in the house at night and in the morning sometimes. "Jakey, please come out," Logan said softly. "I checked the security cameras," Ari said, "He hid behind the boxes." "I'll get him," Logan said and everybody backed up a little. Jake put the hood to his hoodie up and hugged his legs to his chest even tighter. Logan moved the boxes away and Jake buried his face into his knees. "Jake, it's okay," Erika said calmly. "Please don't cry anymore," Tessa said, "We hate seeing you hurt and we want to help you." Everybody agreed with Tessa. Logan knelt down in front of Jake and softly kissed his head. "It's okay," Logan whispered softly, "You don't have to be scared or embarrassed." Jake slowly brought his head up and Logan wiped the tears off his face. Jake slowly stuck his arms up to Logan and Logan picked him up. He stood up and held Jake who buried his face into Logan's shoulder. "Oh thank gosh he is okay!" Chad said. Everybody walked over to them and made a huge group hug. Jake smiled a little into Logan's shoulder. "I think he is really tired now from the crying and running around," Logan said as Jake starts to slowly fall asleep in Logan's arms. "I think we should have a family meeting tomorrow and Jake can explain why he started crying and ran away," Erika said. Everybody agreed on that and Logan carried a sleeping Jake up to Jake's room. He walked into Jake's room and tucked Jake into bed. "Goodnight Jakey," Logan said softly and kissed Jake's forehead, "I love you." Jake smiled in his sleep and Logan left the room, quietly closing the door behind him.
