It was 1in the afternoon and I reached the office of 'Headlines Today'.I was hoping to get the job here as it was my fourth stop that day.It was a vastly renowned news channel.I went inside and they took my interview and told me to wait.I waited for another hour and a half as there were many people at that place.It was close to 3:30 and they called my name.I went inside and the person said,'Congrats,the job is yours!'.I just couldn't resist but jumped in excitement.I GOT a job finally.My faith in humanity was restored.I shaked hands with everybody present there and they told me to join the day after.I was just elated.I came out and the first number I dialled was of Virat.He did not pick up my phone.I called five times but he didn't.I then called Neha and told her everything.She came at my place by 6 with Sam.

'Congratssss!' She said as she hugged me.

'Congrats' Sam said as he gave me a hug.

'Thanks guys!' I exclaimed.

'Our channel's got competition now' Sam said.

'Haha! Beware then' I said as we laughed.

'Give me the party first' Sam said.

'Ya,double treat' Neha said.

'Double treat?' I asked.

'Yes,one for your job and the other for Virat's birthday' She said.

'What date is today?' I asked.

'4th of November' Sam answered.

'Tomorrow is his birthday! How can I forget that?' I said as I sat on the couch feeling like slapping myself for this huge mistake.

'It's okay' She said consolling me.

'But how can I not remember just the day before! I was waiting for it since so long and I was too busy today and everything just messed up' I said.

'You have time,we'll plan out something' She said.

'Ya,you're right' I said as I stood up in the hope of doing something nice for him but then sat again.

'Now what?' Sam asked.

'He's not here! He's in Bombay' I said as I felt like crying.

'Oh god! Now what?' Neha said.

'Now nothing' I said as I cried getting angry on myself.

'We'll do something,think think think think' Sam muttered.

'What think Sam? She can't go there and just surprise him' Neha said as she had a tensed look on her face.

'Well,yes.I can' I said as stood up and rushed towards her.

'Neha! Neha! my love!' I exclaimed.

'Let me check the flights' Sam said.

It was 7 in the evening then.Those were the cold days and it gets really cold in Delhi during winters.

'Fast' I said.

He kept the phone on hold.

'Umm..there are no flights for now but they have a flight at 9 tonight and it'll reach the Bombay airport at 11' He told me.

'Just book it' I said hurriedly.

He booked the tickets and I got ready.It was a very tiring day and I felt sleepy.I was up from 7 in the morning and just going from one place to another but then it was his birthday.I felt amazing on his birthdays,they were like my reason for celebration.I always celebrated his birthday before I met him.And now when I know him,I had infinite plans but no time to execute.I got ready and took some stuff with me and money of course.We reached the airport and Sam and Neha wished me good luck.The flight departed on time and I reached Mumbai at 11:00.I rushed through the airport and came out.I was about to take a cab and then I realised I didn't knew where Virat was? I have come this far and I didn't knew where he was.Great.There was his team mate who lived in Mumbai and I scrolled my phone if I had his number but I didn't.I had Rahul's number and thought maybe he was with him.I called him but he was in Delhi and he didn't knew where Virat stayed.I banged my head to whatever I found beside me.It was 11:20 already.
