Kevin honestly thought he was going to burst into tears laughing at his oblivious boyfriend. He was stood there cackling at the smaller man on the bed. Avi was confused.
"umm..kevy?"
Kevin stopped, finally, and looked his boyfriend straight in the eyes.
"is something wrong? No. Nothing is wrong. You know? My boyfriend is pregnant with some other man's baby but that's all."
He leaned against the door frame staring at the wall across from him, Avi sat up in bed to look at the side of his boyfriend's head.
"I didn't cheat on you though. I don't know either."
"How could you not know?! Weren't you playing the bigger part in that little affair?!"
Avi couldn't believe what he just heard. Affair?
"i... didn't have an affair... i don't even know what happened that night."
That was a lie, he remembered it as clear as day.
"Then how do you explain the baby growing inside of you?!"
"I can't! I want to but I can't cause I don't know where it came from! please... you need to trust me."
"Can I? Can I really trust my boyfriend who magically ends up carrying the baby of another man?"
"kevin..please don't act like this. this isn't you..."
They stayed in silence, waiting for the other's response. Kevin stood from the wall and opened the door. Avi looked at him.
"where are you going?!"
"The couch."
He left without another word, slamming the door shut behind him. Avi curled back up into a ball in the middle of the bed, crying might I add, before he fell into a restless sleep.
