Chapter 6

        "You should come over."

        "Sure thing."

Sure thing? Why the hell would I say that?! What was I thinking!?

I shriek and frustratingly throw my phone across my room, watching it land in my circular rotating plush chair against my wall. I honestly did not even think Max would take his sweet beautiful time out of his day, of any time on any of his days to come and see me. If I would have known, I wouldn't have invited him over. I groan in frustration again and then freeze as I hear splashing and giggling.

Getting up slowly, I creep over to my open window of my room and scowl as I see Mr. Jackass and his overly annoying girlfriend splashing around all touchy feely and sexual. Fucking kill me, hasn't even been an entire day since our parents left and he's already gonna attempt to bring his girlfriend and screw her while I'm here. Great.

I'm blatantly staring and then gasp as suddenly Donovan looks up towards my room window and locks eyes with me. Why would he even be looking up this way? I don't break the eye contact, be he does as he slightly smiles; almost like a smirk, and grabs Layne, burying his face in her neck and nibbling on her, which causes faint moans to come from her mouth, but loud enough so that I can hear them.

        What the hell?

I back away from the window in disgust and then go rigid as the doorbell downstairs rings. Oh god, that's Max... I'm going to throw up. I stumble all the way out of my room and to the hall, then I quickly hurry my ass up as I realize Donovan doesn't know about Max coming over and I don't want him to find out. He's just going to bother us, probably.

I get downstairs quickly and try to fix myself to look presentable, then open the door and smile brightly. Oh goodness, Max is going to be the death of me. His brown hair is styled to perfection in a sexy flip above his forehead, his sparkling hazel eyes could lure me to any doable surface in this house and he has his noisy chains on his pair of khaki shorts that he's wearing, but he's still wearing his combat boots -- which is so fucking hot. I snap out of my thoughts as his deep chuckle resonates throughout me, "Um, Zar... you gonna invite me in or just drool in front of me?"

        Ah! Duh, Zara!

"Shit, come in." I splutter and he smiles, then steps inside. I close the door and quickly drag him behind me up the stairs.

"So I figured your parents were gone, since you know, you invited me to come over." He mentions, "I'm really glad you did. It's so nice to actually see you rather than see your beautiful handwriting. Speaking of your beautiful handwriting, where's my letter?" He asks in mock annoyance and when we get to my room, I shut the door, lock it and then quickly creep up to my back window to see what Donovan and Layne are doing.

Oh, sucking face -- awesomeMy stomach churns for some reason and then it lurches forward as Max presses himself up behind me; forgetting the lack of letter I was suppose to write after us having written each other like three times. He then sees what I see, "Is that the asshole stepbrother?"

I turn to face him, "He can't know you're here, well, he can, but I'd rather him not know, so away from the window and keep your voice down." I exclaim, step in front of him and push on his chest. He laughs, but willingly walks backwards until we're by my bed. I shove him downwards and he grabs me, pulling me down with him. I land with a shriek, "Asshole." I breathe and he smiles beautifully at me.
