After arriving back to his parents' mansion, Chaz sealed the seed in a little bottle and handed it to her. "Before you go," he started, raising the container from her reach, "hate me or hit me for asking this: can I accompany you to the island?"
[F/n] pursed her lips, unsure of what to say. Initially, she would have said yes, but upon knowing him further, she doubted that it will be ideal to travel with Ade and Chaz together. Her mind battled to deliver a final decision, then she looked at Chaz, who patiently waited for her response.
In the end, she sighed. "Chaz, you've been a big help to me... but I think it's best that you stay where you are and stay hidden," she replied hesitantly and felt her throat constrict at her words. Out of discomfort, she rubbed her arm. "Ade will not hesitate to kill you..."
He stayed silent, unhappy with her words. Nonetheless, he kept his charm and smiled as lowered the bottle. "Ade doesn't have to know." The indicative twinkle of his eyes seduced her, his hand sliding down her arm until it lingered around her wrist; he wrapped his hand on it. "I'll travel alone, without you knowing."
Her eyebrows knitted in conflict. "How?" Desperation clung in her tone.
"Don't trouble yourself with me," he remarked with a sympathetic tone. Then he put the bottle in her palm and he closed her fist. Looking directly into her eyes, he smiled. "I'll travel, this evening. I will be careful, for your sake. I'll wait in the island for you."
Using her other hand, [F/n] held his and squeezed it, her eyes beseeching him to stay true to his words. "I'm... I'm not so sure. I really think that you shouldn't go."
"When have I failed you, [F/n]? I warned you of Amos' unstable mind, offered my precious hat for your use, and hid you from Ade when you pleaded with me once," he persuaded. "Tell me, when did I fail your trust?"
She raised her eyes, slight anger in them. "You killed twenty men, that's where you failed," she thundered, gathering the grief of the victims' families.
"Madam [F/n], do we have everything ready?!"
The insert of a new voice startled the two, causing them to look alarmingly at the newcomer.
"We have everything we need, don't we?" Asked the newcomer, wearing a tall top hat over his brown hair.
"We do have everything, brother. The hat confirmed that everything's ready," said a new addition, who looked remarkably like the first speaker, with the same brown hair of similar length and features. "The hat is an odd little thing, but helpful nonetheless."
Chaz rejoiced with a sincere laugh upon the sight of his prized possession. "My darling!" As he went to claim his hat, Asher passed it to Vester, and they played on, denying Chaz his ownership over the object.
Meanwhile, [F/n] watched them quietly, and with an uneasy smile. She approached the black-haired male and touched his shoulder, stealing his attention.
"What is it, [F/n]?" Chaz inquired.
"Chaz, stay," she demanded, her hand gripping his shoulder. "Don't go, please. Ade will kill you."
"[F/n]?" Ade knocked softly on the door. However, with no response received, he rapped on it louder. "[F/n], are you in there? I'm coming in." With a click, he opened the door, somehow nervous, and entered.
The male strolled in and was met with an empty room. Casting his eyes around, he caught sight of a letter on her bed. His heart skipped a beat in fear and he immediately darted to the bathroom if she was in there. He knocked on it, and the door jarred open, revealing an empty area. Anxiety clawed up his throat, making him tremble as he rushed to read the letter on the bed.
