After putting on her slippers, [F/n] swiveled around to the door, only to see Ade refusing to move out of the way. She was so intrigued about the Country of Countrymen that she had forgotten to return home.
"Please, I need to go," she pleaded as she approached him and appealed to him through her eyes. "I promise that I'll come back."
Displeased with her insistence, Ade frowned heavily at her and tightened his arms as his biceps bulged out of his crimson lounge suit. "I am very much concerned with your safety, Madam President," he stated her title, showing that he was talking to her as an officer and not the person who had acted as a friend just previously. "You will not leave the Palace without a further discussion of what had happened between you and my father." Sporting a solemn look on his face, he pushed back on the door and looked down at her seriously. "Something was put in your drink to have caused you to sleep. My father ran out of the room, frightened; I'm uncertain if he was merely suffering funny symptoms from what was put in his drink, that is if something was put in it."
"When I came to see him, he was drinking his coffee, and he was already acting weird," she added her testament, trying to piece the puzzle together as to who could have put Jeha's seed, something like a sleeping pill, in her drink. "Maybe someone put the seeds into his drink."
"Dad makes his own tea and coffee so it would not make sense that someone was able to sneak Jeha's seeds in his drink," Ade pondered, his eyes darting from [F/n]'s worried visage then down to his feet. As he thought more in-depth about it, he was reminded that Amos rarely asks from the kitchen staff to make him a tea or coffee. However, Ade noted it in mind that he should interview the workers in the kitchen if they were the ones who had made the drinks for Amos and [F/n]. If they didn't... Ade dreaded to think that his father might have slipped Jeha's seeds in [F/n]'s drink. But why would he?
Furthermore, the presence of the butcher knife in the bathroom was still a mystery. What's more questionable, was [F/n] slumbering in his father's bathtub.
"Ade," [F/n] called out. He never actually formally introduced himself to her, but Abbey had repeatedly called him by his name that [F/n] had just learned his name. "Ade."
The mentioned male was too deep in thought that he disregarded [F/n]'s voice reaching to his name.
Approaching him, she touched his gloved hand and looked up at him solemnly, which caught him by surprise. "I seriously need to go." Before he could rebut, she delicately urged him away from the door and held the knob. "Don't worry, I'll come back. Besides," she paused, glancing at her vanity mirror as she imagined Annette, "I still need to find someone."
Sighing, Ade held her hand softly as he peered beseechingly into her eyes. "What is so important that you need to go back? Everyone has been waiting for you to come back for a century," he uttered, perceiving her startled reaction. "The calendar has been marked with your name since the beginning of time. It specifically says that you will return and rule─"
"─that's what I don't understand." Tugging her hand away from his grasp, she found it futile as he detained the appendage. "Why am I a president? Who is Annette in this place that I am affected?" He parted his lips to explain, but she continued: "I mean I get it. Amos said that mom was supposed to be president, but she ran away, so he had to step up and take her place. But now that I'm here, I should resume being president─"
"─you do understand."
"I don't," she stated firmly, fixing him a stern countenance that Ade battled with himself whether to take her seriously or not. "I still don't understand how she just disappeared and so many more. But what I do understand, is that I saw her; I talked to her; and that she's alive. Now," she spoke, struggling to free her hand but he still possessed it, "I need to find Annette. But before another day proceeds, I want to go back to my grandparents, alright?"
