Chaz's lips quirked to an amused smile upon hearing Asher and Vester carelessly giving away his identity. Cautiously, he looked to the side and peeked through his peripheral vision, catching two guards trailing after him. He quickened his pace and angled his head lower to avoid recognition from the politicians he was passing by.

Suddenly, a gloved hand cupped his shoulder, shooting shivers down his spine. "Excuse me, sir?" Asked one of the guards, stopping Chaz from going farther.

Turning to them, he slouched and fiddled with his collar, creating a mannerism of a character he was portraying.

"May we have your name, sir?" Questioned the other guard, trying to get a better look at him as Chaz lowered his eyes to the ground.

Vester punched his brother's shoulder and tittered. "Brother, it seems he's in trouble," he spoke through suppressed chuckles.

Pushing the other forward, Asher followed and stumbled on his own footing, causing the brothers to cackle louder. They slapped each other on the back and whispered teases as they received Chaz's playful glare under his flat cap. "Officer, that's our good friend with you!" Asher intervened, walking past the guards and snaking his arm around Chaz.

"Do we have a problem here?" Vester added, eyeing the two guards with a wide smile.

The guards exchanged confused glances before planting their gazes on Vester. "We apologize for not recognizing him, Sir Suzblood. We're not familiar with your friend, it seems," said one of the guards, clearly not buying their excuse.

"He's from the Other Side! A pure-blooded Countryman but raised like a Normal." Asher grinned convincingly, rocking on the balls of his feet. Then he thumped Chaz's chest roguishly. "Speak up, dear cousin. Tell them your background."

Having prepared his altered voice in his mind, Chaz heightened the tone of his voice. "I'm a distant cousin of the Suzblood family, sir," he spoke funnily, facing the guards quickly and lowering his face again as he felt Asher shaking from with laughter.

One of the guards furrowed his brow and tilted his head to look at Chaz.

"He's a very shy fellow, sir." Vester stepped up, sticking his arm with the guard to intentionally create discomfort. "He's leaving by tomorrow, I think. We'll handle him from here."

Resolving to end the perceived conviction that this "shy fellow" was Chaz Jamcharly, the guards apologized for the misunderstanding and left.

"Goodbye, sir," Chaz mumbled in a nasal voice, provoking the brothers to grin at him. Fixing the cap to conceal his eyes, he faced them with a smile. "I was pretty confident that you two would rather watch me be arrested."

"Of course not," Vester spoke up, his brown eyes alight with mirth.

"We were going to do worse," Asher backed up, standing beside Chaz and curiously assessing his fraud features. "Aside from that, where are you headed to?"

Raising his head to properly observe his friends' facial expressions, Chaz grinned. "Back home," he replied. "My guardians will be leaving the Country. Why, are you going to need me for something?"

Vester and Asher exchanged glances, conveying a quick message to each other before turning to Chaz. "No, we need you just where you will be," said Asher.

"Just stay home and nowhere else," continued Vester, patting Chaz's shoulder. The older Suzblood turned to the younger and nodded his head at him. "Let's go, Asher."

"Let's go." Asher placed his hand on Chaz's other shoulder and gripped it. Then, his hand swiftly removed the gray cap from his head while Vester forced the wig from Chaz. Quickly, they dashed through the crowd of politicians and out of sight, screaming "criminal spotted" to the authorities and leaving Chaz exposed under the sight of the guards.
