Chapter 9: Ali

I watched as the days went by.

That's when it was time. The entity walked my body to the stairs and began climbing.

I knew it was time. I felt a dread coming from deep within. I sure hope the voice knew what he was doing when he told me that.

There we stood in front of the doors... knocking... waiting...

Hana looked surprised when she opened the door.

I watched as the entity used my head to look around the room, as if... he was searching for something.

After a moment... he pointed at the wall, there was nobody there... but with a wave of his... no... my hand, he made a boy appear.

Hana gasped when this happened and appeared in front of the boy as my body walked towards him.

Mirrors were forbidden? Something came from his mouth... something is making me not hear that well...

Soon... a huge light came over my body... and I felt... my body floating... I could still watch but no way of moving about.

I watched in horror as a man appear in front of me... he was smiling...

All the words coming from them were faint but I hear something about the Master...

Another man appeared in front of Hana. He snapped his fingers and everything in the tower turned dark.

I wanted to shout but I knew it was useless.

I watched as the Master sent Hana and the boy somewhere else.

Then things got... weird.

No fighting.

I watched as the man who had possessed me start talking...

A name... I could make out.

"Cam... you know well as me that I needed that boy." The man said to the Master.

'Cam?'

I was hearing everything some reason.

"Shh... Ali... I am making you able to hear thanks to me." A female voice said but it wasn't Hana's... somebody else.

'Who are you?' I manage to say through my mind.

Silence rose as I watched the Master called Cam began moving closer to the man.

"Eli, you shouldn't be doing this." Cam said to the man who was called Eli.

Strange... how does his name sound close to mine but different?

I watched as Eli moved back and was ready to fight but Cam, the master never moved to fight.

"We used to be friends, Eli." Cam continued.

'Are you... trying to protect me?' I finally asked the female voice who had been silent.

"Shh... if you talk, Eli will know." The female voice finally replied. "But yes, I am protecting you. Though... I'm afraid that Eli may had left a curse on you."

'A curse?' I asked the female but she went silent again.

I watched again as Cam uncover his white hood and reveal his face... but I couldn't quite make it out.

"Cam, why are you here?" Eli asked him.

"Well, the whole time we were talking, I have Ana trying to protect Ali." Cam grinned.

Eli gasped and looked behind him at me and I could see Ana standing over me.

"Ah. Ana, the dark one." Eli whispered as he then looked at her. "It won't do any good to protect him."

"I know." The female voice named Ana said as she then look at me. "Sorry, Ali... he's right. Everything comes with a price."

Then Eli finally raised his hand up as if summoning something.

"Oops, it's time to go, Ana." Cam said as he start to disappear...

Ana patted the ball of light with me inside. "You might forget everything, even yourself... just know... Hana will find you." Ana said as she disappeared too.

"Ah... expected that." Eli said as he lowered his arm down.

But I ignored everything else when Ana said something about forgetting things... what did she mean?

I stayed silent when I felt the ball of light began moving... Just as Eli walked back to the door.

I wished I knew what he was planning now.
