The Impossible Stars: Earth

Chapter 17: Hana

I stopped in the middle of the room staring upwards... the whole tower was dark.

Jonas walked beside me and look around. "Where are we?"

"The lobby." I said as I walked towards the stairs... no longer a glow on them... starting to climb upwards.

Jonas followed me. We stopped at the room where monitors no longer glow. "Computers?"

"Yes. I was here for a short time... before I was promoted to a Creator." I whispered as I walked over to the computer and touched it lightly...

"Interesting." Jonas whispered.

"Yes... we each had a role... all those people out there... frozen in time... because of him." I said as I backed away and headed back to the stairs.

Jonas followed me upwards... we stopped at the door ahead. "My room." I said but I knew Jonas already knew.

We walked through after I pushed opened the doors. We both look up at the same time. The stars were gone now.

Everything in this room looked weird in the dark... I reached over and grabbed Jonas's hand.

"It's time." I said as I teleported us to the top of the tower.

I kept Jonas's hand in mine as I stood in the middle of the room.

"Ready?" I said to me.

"I don't like it but... yes." Jonas said as he stood beside me, hand still in mine...

Then I closed my eyes as I summoned the power... to undo the magic.

I opened my eyes and saw outside of the window... stars falling...

"Hana! Look..." Jonas said as he let go of me hand.

I walked over to the window and watched as the stars were falling.

"Stars..." I whispered then realize as the stars were touching the ground... green... the colors are coming back...

"They are healing the earth!" Jonas gasped.

We both watched as the falling stars began bringing light to the Earth below us... green, homes with red, brown roofs... many colors... then finally... I looked ahead and saw the blue skies...

"We did it..." I said as I look at Jonas...

"You have gray eyes..." Jonas said when he look at me...

"You can see my eye color now?" I asked.

"Yes... you have gray eyes and black hair." Jonas said as he was staring at me.

Then I noticed the color in his eyes... they were... sky blue.

"Jonas... your eyes..." I whispered...

"Yes... blue... I know. With my nice blond hair." He laughed.

That's when I noticed his hair as well.

"I guess... when we undo the magic... we sort of... brought color back." I said as I looked out...

Jonas stayed silent for a while...

"I want to see my family." Jonas finally spoke after a while.

I looked at him shock. "But they..."

"I know... they might not see me or know me." He said softly... "But I still want to see them."

I thought for a moment and then nodded slowly. "Then... so do I. I wish to see my family too."

I said as I reached out my hand.

Jonas grabbed it and I teleported us outside of the tower. "Come back before sunset." I told him.

I walked away as he walked towards his home in another direction.

I walked down the street and just stop... In front of me... was my own home.

I went up to the window and looked inside to noticed my family were all sitting at the dinner table.

I felt the tears go down my cheeks as I recall the memories we had before all this darkness happened.

I knew they will be safe now.

As I walked back towards the tower... something inside of me... made me think of Ali suddenly...

I ran back to the tower and saw Jonas standing there... I could tell that he had seen his family and... well... his expression was weird.

I grabbed his hand and he looked at me with a slight nod... I teleported us back to the top of the tower...
