The wind and waves that batter on the sea
The storm that brews to toss up life's debris
Desire to tip the ship unto the lee
To topple to the herd's insanity
But keel goes deep beyond unmeasured depths
Self-honesty, reflection intercepts
No need to haul and batten down the sails
The detritus, loose baggage, clears the rails
The ride is rough, 'tis what this life entails
As depths of life's significance unveils
The wind and waves and storm of life all fail
Naiveté and clarity prevail
