The shreds of sanity and tattered traits

Ripple in the wind through narrow straights

The passage through the narrow course confines

But stubborn intransigence well defines

The struggle 'gainst the obstacles erected

Refinements to the breaching well-perfected

The setbacks and the ticking of the clock

That leave the scars upon the weathered rock

The fingers lightly brushed across a scar

Breathes heart into the lifeless from afar
