Life should be a celebration, joy throughout the day
Yes, I live in fantasy and, yes, that is my way
To waste my time on melancholy seems embrace of gloom
So, if I am to build this life and follow my own doom
There is no need for landmines, if so lightly I do step
The flowers brush against my skin, the joy within is kept
I'll never bow my head down low, for anger or in thrall
To say that I have never wept would, simply, not say all
The pain inside a human can be swept away in time
But, only if the pain is seen as broken lines of rhyme
Believe that joy's contagious but, then, so is aching heart
It's all in the perception taken with you from the start
How much the pain can be contained and finally overcome
Before the beating ends the day with final beat of drum
But, one must gaze on up the road for just a little ways
So, one can find the time to sprinkle joy on many quays
