A life worth living

Some endings are beginnings and some notes are not a score

Some lives are weary wanderings, an endless weary chore

But, presence and continuance are different things indeed

An end to all that's meaningless, a heart that's truly freed

Beyond the pale, in depths unknown, the will is found in need

To carry on and face the doom, the coin is now agreed

The whistle of the racing train seems slowly to recede
