Proverbs 3:5-6 says,
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight."

I used to read that verse and see the words straight path and think it meant easy path. But as I am older I realize it does not necessarily mean a straight path is an easy path, there may be a steep incline, as if we were traversing a mountain.. But God will guide us all the way up and be our handrails, our ropes, our mountain guide showing us the appropriate foot and hand placement in rough, rocky areas. It takes trust to allow someone to tell you where to go so that you won't fall to your death. We trust experienced mountain climbers, how much more can we trust God?And when we finally make it to the top of the mountain, we can look down at all we have done and accomplished, all we have gone through and we can feel proud of ourselves and enjoy the beautiful view. Ultimately, that view can be from heaven.

Every day, never stop reaching, never stop asking for God to guide you through this path of life. We've seen mountain climbers make one false step and tumble hundreds of feet down the mountain, and in their fall, they send rocks and debris upon other climbers. Our actions affect everyone around us. Daily let's pray for guidance, guidance for our own feet and hands, as well as the ability to guide others behind or below us and shows them the way.
