DANIEL was laying in his bed weeks later, casually flipping through his book of baby names. Yes, it was still to early to decide. And yes, he still didn't know what the gender was, but that didn't stop him.

He's been wanting a gender neutral name anyways.

So far, he's seen a few names that he likes such as Celeste and Mason, but they seem a little too basic for him. He doesn't exactly want something unique either-just something that sounds good to him.

And then his blue eyes ran across a name that just seemed to enter his heart immediately. It was simple; five letters; yet so perfect.

Daniel excitedly threw the book onto his bed and got up. He ran out of his bedroom, knowing exactly where he would find Jonah. He had to tell him first.

"Jonah! Jonah!" Daniel yelled giddily as he skipped down the stairs in a hurry. The older boy appeared, his eyes immediately widening when he saw Daniel galloping down the stairs.

"Stop!" He shouted. Daniel jolted in his spot, stopping. "W-what?" Daniel asked nervously. "Why would you run down the stairs like that? That's dangerous!"

Daniel remained quiet out of shock while Jonah came up the stairs to meet him halfway. "Don't ever do that again. You could fall, Daniel." Jonah warned. Daniel's heart warmed up at the care that Jonah showed him constantly.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I was just excited." Daniel mumbled. Jonah grabbed Daniel's arm and linked it with his. He then made sure to take the steps slowly with Daniel. "About what?"

Daniel's mind went blank. He forgot about the name. All he could think about was the fact that Jonah's arm was laced with his. For some reason he felt so protected, even though there's nothing to be afraid of.

"I—uh... found a name." Jonah's eyes brightened up. "Really?" He asked. "Yeah," Daniel said at the bottom of the stairs. They let go of each other. "Riley." Daniel caught Jonah's eyes contact.

Jonah's mouth immediately curled up into a smile. "It's perfect." He said quietly. Daniel felt a sense of relief wash over him. It was his baby, he didn't need anyone's approval, but he still felt good to have Jonah's. "I think so too." Daniel smiled back.
