IT was safe to say that Jack had went rogue. And when Jonah came downstairs and saw that the colours blue and pink had basically thrown up all over their back yard, he knew that he had made a mistake.

"What even?..." Jonah stepped outside. Jack turned toward him like a dear caught in the headlights, dressed in a pink shirt. "You think it's too much?" He tilted his head. "Too much? Jack this is insane!"

Jonah didn't know where to start. From the tower of cupcakes on the table, to the balloons, or to the baby themed floats in the pool. He was utterly confused.

"Daniel is going to flip out." Jonah shook his head. "What? Will he not like it?!" Jack panicked. "No, he will." Jonah assured. "But it's just a bit much for him. He didn't even want a party."

"Well too bad," Jack crossed his arms over his chest, "because I'm throwing him a hell of a party." Jonah shrugged. "Not gonna lie, this is impressive."

Jack smiled in accomplishment. "When all of this is over and you all ditch me, I'm gonna become a party planner." Jonah frowned at that thought. He never wanted this to be over.

"What the actual fuck?!" Zach entered, dressed in all black, totally not getting the blue and pink memo. "Isn't it just like...the five of us?" Corbyn joined too, dressed in orange out of all colours.

"I just wanted to make it nice for Daniel." Jack shrugged. Speaking of— Daniel came out too, his loose pink shirt barely highlighting his bump. "Oh my god!"

"Please tell me you like it!" Jack begged. "It's amazing!" Daniel exclaimed. "Thank you so much." He smiled, appreciating all of the effort. Maybe Jack can be my new friend, he thought.

"Well let's get this party started then!" Jonah went over to Daniel and grabbed his hand. Daniel didn't have time to react before Jonah was dragging him toward the food table.

It really wasn't considered a party with only five people- more like a gathering- but they made it work. Daniel made sure to stay close to Jonah, while the others were involved with one another.

"Are we ready for the reveal?" Jack popped up in Jonah and Daniel's conversation, as if he had a tight party scheduled. "Sure." Daniel nodded, just wanting to find out already.

Jonah and Daniel stood beside each other on the grass, party poppers in hand with the three other boys in front of them. "On the count of three..." Jonah looked over at Daniel.

"1....2.....3!" Jonah exclaimed, twisting the popper at the same time. In a matter of a second, the pink streamers had shot up into the air. "ITS A GIRL!" Jack shouted.

Daniel's heart fluttered with excitement and without realizing it, he flung his arms around Jonah. The older was surprised, but within the spur of the moment, he hugged back.

Zach and Corbyn didn't exactly find the sight heart warming, but Jack did. Daniel's heart was beating out of his chest and Jonah could feel it. Although he wouldn't admit it, he felt safe in Jonah's arms and the butterflies were swirling in his stomach.

They both pulled away- although they didn't really want to- with big smiles on their faces. "Our very own baby girl." Jonah whispered. "Sounds perfect."
