the blocks been hot since cesar killed latrell. it had only been less than 24 hours and shit was crazy already. cesar's dumbass left to participate in olivia quince and i've never been more angry at him, going out in the open like that. toño left about an hour ago he wanted to get there before everyone else to check out the place. most of my trusted men were out doing runs and holding down the block incase the prophets pulled some quick shit.
oscar pulled out a blunt and lit it. a few members were drinking lightly and only smoking one blunt. they wanted to be quick and not be as intoxicated if some shit went down. oscar heard a giggle and a soft voice, he knew prophets used skany girls to distract them. he quickly placed his hand on the gun that was on his waistband. everyone was on edge. they saw the shadow of someone walking and carrying something in their arms. all of them looked at each other and nodded, knowing some shit was about to go down. the footsteps grew closer and the figure appeared, everyone relaxed as they saw sammy walking. they all looked at each other in a weird way seeing sammy walk a little bit hunched over with his hands in front of him. oscar look a long hit from the blunt confused on why the hell he was here if he said he needed to watch his baby. as sammy got closer the men saw the baby walking and giggling to himself along with sammy saying encouraging words to the little man. seeing the baby get tired and attempt to sit down made oscars heart swell at how precious the baby was. sammy quickly picked him up and placed him on his hip and kissed his cheek " you did so good papas, im proud of you" he said softly while his mouth was still on the baby's cheek, they baby fell into a fit of giggles. oscar looked at them and his face softened and again, his heart swelled. instantly putting out his blunt " don't be stupid fools put the cigarettes and blunts there's a baby here " oscar said, it's like the cholos we're frozen on how cute the scene before them was.
everyone put out their blunts and cigarettes, quickly washing their mouths with water and approaching sammy and the baby. "I just wanted to stop by with my little man to say thank you" sammy said as he looked me right in the eye " it's nothing homie" oscar said smiling at him. matias reached out to him and oscar looked scared, he smelled like weed and he hadn't held a baby in so long. " do you want to hold him?" sammy said while laughing at oscars reaction " i umm I don't think that's a good idea I smell like weed" he thought of any excuse on why not to hold the baby, he was simply scared of him crying. " matias tell oscar to stop being a big baby, that you're the baby" sammy said in a baby voice that made the rest of the guys laugh. we all knew everyone wanted to hold the beautiful baby boy in front of them.
oscars heart melted at the baby in front of him. it was like an instant attachment. the baby kept doing hand signals at oscar and he saw his bottom lip start to tremble. he instantly took the baby from sammy's hands. matias instantly calmed down and stared at oscar. the baby touched the teardrop under his eye looking up to meet oscars eyes and held the gaze and then slowly leaned in and placed a wet sloppy kiss on his cheek and proceeded to lay this head on his shoulder. oscar normally would have been extremely grossed out at the fact that he had so much saliva on his cheek but he didn't mind it one bit. he rubbed the baby's back as he softly swayed back and forth. " so that's my baby, his names matias 8 months old with a big ass fucking head" sammy said with a laugh and the rest of the guys laughed due to the fact that the baby's head was quite big but in the most adorable way. matias lifted his head up and began to move around in his arm, quickly looking at sammy worried. "put him down he wants to walk, he's learning so that's all he wants to do now, little travieso" sammy said as he laughed.
oscar held onto the little kids hands as he took steps forward. sammy told him to let go of his hand and let him walk on his own, oscar kept his hands close to him incase he fell. matias took four steps and held onto jose's legs. jose happily picked up the baby, matias gave him a kiss on his cheek and wiggles out of his arms. matias did the same thing for all five guys. all seven guys hearts were full of nothing but love by the actions of the baby. " aye yo sammy you have to bring this little homie around more often" jose said as he watched matias walk " only if the baby momma allows it" he said with and laugh and picked up matias "isn't that right baby" he said in a baby voice. matias giggled and started to move around, making grabby hands at oscar. " damn oscar he really likes you" sammy gave him the baby.
oscar gently bounced matias up and down while rubbing his back. oscars arm was starting to hurt a little bit but he knew the baby enjoyed the rocking so he sucked it up. "man oscar quit hogging the baby homie" jose said, in the past hour that matias and sammy have been here, oscar has had matias in his arm for half of the time. " it ain't my fault he likes me more" oscar said and laughed but soon shut up remembering the baby in his arms that may be asleep due to him not moving for a while. "I promise i'll bring the little man around, i'm sorry oscar but it's time I take the little guy home" oscar felt sad when he heard him say that. matias lifted his lead and placed another kiss on oscars cheek and then wiggled out and gave every man a hug and kiss. saying goodbye and watching sammy walk down the dark street with matias. " damn that fucking baby has me all soft" jose said, everyone agreed and mumbled how they hope sammy brings him around more often. that night the five men promised to do anything they can to protect sammy and matias.
