athena had a strong feeling that sammy would wake up. she knew he would wake up and make a stupid joke about having nine lives. but as the time went on that feeling started to fade. he should be awake by now, he should have at least a heartbeat.
40 minutes, it took 40 minutes. within those 40 minutes she managed to clean the guys and put matias back to sleep. 40 minutes it took for sammy to get a heartbeat. it took another five minutes to figure out that he was in a coma, which didn't really shock athena. he had lost a huge amount of blood, his body went into shock. 2 minutes for everyone to let cry and celebrate that he was alive. athena cried tears of joy and walked over to him.
"esto es por vida, yo sabia que ibas a volver. te amo mas que nada." she kissed his cheek and ran her fingers through his hair. oscar walked over and rubbed her back softly " we can move him into the guest room and you can stay here as long as you need" he said softly. athena quickly turned and hugged oscar "thank you so much oscar" she cried into his chest.
benito and jose helped carry sammy into the spare room and made sure to tuck him in. matias was asleep on the couch with a border of pillow to prevent him from falling. jose and benito soon left the diaz household but not before giving athena their phone numbers and kissing her head goodbye.
before the two men stepped out of the house she gave them instructions on what to do in the morning with the bandages and wraps. the men were in awe that she was still so concerned over them while the love of her life was in worse conditions.
"you were blushing so hard when she called you baby" jose laughed at benito as they walked to their cars " fuck yeah fool, she's literally so sweet and beautiful, don't think I didn't see how you were nervous as fuck to take your shirt off" benito argued back and pushed him slightly while laughing. "let's not forget how nervous spooky was when she was between his legs" jose said and started to laugh at the memory. "hey fool, on the serious note sammy really picked a real one" they both agreed and parted ways.
