sammy was working his car in the garage in the back of his house with matias right next to him. " well little man hand me the screwdriver" he said and extended his hand out only earning a giggle and a few claps in response. sammy enjoyed days like this, athena was resting in the house while he took care of matias and worked on his beautiful car in front of him. the music was interrupted by the sound of the ringer going off, picking up matias and not paying much attention to who was calling. " aye fools he's holding the baby!!" the person yelled through the phone with so much excitement, which only made him laugh hearing it was jose. " say hi to my annoying friends papas" sammy said in a soft voice only earning a giggle and wave from matias. "bring him over, please" sammy laughed at how desperate the guys sounded to see matias. "bitch quit playing and bring the baby" "fool you're really going to cuss in front of the baby like that" another voice said and smacked jose. " i'll be there in 20" sammy said and hung up.
quickly cleaning up his mess in the garage, balancing matias on one hip and his bouncer on the other. "baby i'm taking tias to spookys house!" sammy shouted as he fixed a backpack with diapers, wipes, an extra set of clothes, bottles and a few other necessities for the baby. athena walked into the room with sammy only wearing one of his t shirts and her wet hair slightly leaving a dark print on the material. she looked as beautiful as she did when they were younger. " I don't know how I really feel about you taking matias around them but he needs the interaction, promise me you'll keep him safe and yourself" she said while hugging him and swaying a little bit " I promise baby i'll keep him safe as always. plus those guys love matias, swear I heard them talk in a baby voice. i'll be back before you leave so you can say bye." with that said he kissed her head and left the house. sammy left bad that he was leaving her alone but matias needed to be around more people.
opening the garage sammy debated on what car to take or to walk. knowing the blocks been hot and now the prophets know he's officially a santo he had to be more careful. he decided on taking a car. sammy loved his cars more than anything. he grew up fixing cars with his dad, the love for cars grew on him. sammy knew all the cars they owned were flashy and would raise an eyebrow on how two young adults will be able to afford them along with having a baby. sammy decided to go for the truck. an all black ford raptor that was slightly lifted. quickly bucking matias in his car seat, opening the sunroof so matias has something to look at while he drove to spookys.
the men spread across the yard perked up at seeing an unfamiliar car pull up. trying to figure out who it was but the blacked out windows didn't allow them to. they were prepared for anything, hearing the car door open and close then hearing it again. everyone was ready. as soon as they saw the familiar blonde hair they all relaxed and were instantly excited to see that he was holding matias. instantly putting out the blunts and washing their mouths with water. " okay papas ya estamos con mis amigos enfadosos" sammy said to the baby who moved around in his arms signaling he wanted to walk. as soon as he put matias down he began to walk towards the group of men. the same five men from a few night ago squatted down with open arms. trying to get matias to walk into them and not the others. the rest of the guys sat back shocked at the actions of the five men but even more that oscar was down there fighting with jose and using baby talk to get the baby. they were also all stuck in an awe at how adorable the baby was.
matias look exactly five steps on his own and was about to take another one when he started to wobble and in an instant everyone jumped up to attempt to catch the poor baby before he hit the floor. they were too late and matias fell on his butt and scraped his little hand a bit. a loud cry and tears fell from his eyes and mouth instantly. sammy felt his heart shatter seeing his baby cry. instantly picking him up " estas bien papi, ya no llores" he rocked the baby back and fourth. kissing his hand after wiping away the diry "estas bien" he said while kissing his hand. matias was no longer sobbing but a few tears were still falling from his eyes. the guys were all heartbroken seeing the baby cry. oscar and jose were the quickest ones to reach matias but sammy picked him up faster. everyone wanted to run up and kiss the baby and take his pain away.
jose has left to the store to buy candy, that man had the biggest sweet tooth ever. sammy saw how oscar was looking at matias, as if he wanted to hold him. as on cue matias wiggled in his arms and he set him down. everyone was scared the baby would fall again. taking three steps and his legs wobbled but this time oscar was the one to pick him up before he fell, earning a giggle and a kiss from matias. oscar sat back down on the crate. placing matias on his knee facing him and slightly bouncing his leg. sammy watched how much love was in oscars eyes as he held on to the baby. everyone basically melted at the sight of the baby. sammy thought about how matias is going to be so loved but also how he was going to overcome everything given the fact that his mother is hiding out. sammy was pulled out of his thoughts by his phone vibrating
imessage: athena A: sucks for you and your cholito friends im picking up matias because I miss him.
S: okay sweetheart, i'll get him and head our way home. see you in a bit :)
A: no it's okay i'll get him just text me the address, I feel like i'm going crazy being stuck in the house :(
S: are you sure baby?? but i'll share my location rn, be safe please .
A: samuel has shared location with you.
jose had came back almost running out of his car. "fool you won't believe who i just saw" sammy froze knowing exactly who he just saw.
