Tina–
The problem about being involved in an affair, even if it’s not taken seriously from both persons, is that it’s inevitable to not grow feelings for each other. I could see it in his eyes when they look at mine, in his genuine smile and wide grins when we talk, and in the way he reacts around me. He’s overprotective of me nowadays in his own way, meaning he always insists on going on tasks with me. It’s in the way he kisses and touches me. I know he’s gradually falling for me, I could sense it.
And surprisingly, I am too. I have the will to see him continuously nowadays, I’m happier when I’m around him, and the feeling I get whenever I look at him or kiss him gives me away. Never have I ever felt this attraction to anybody, but him. I knew the moment he walked in that he’d be trouble, and he proved himself to be so because he was able to steal my heart, and this is not good news.
Harry has convinced me to hang out with Markus on Friday as it was my day off, saying I must give my little brother more love and care. It was very unusual, those words coming out of Harry’s mouth, but he got to make me accept nevertheless. So he drove me to my aunt’s house and from there, we picked Markus up for a night out.
“I’m so glad we’re going out with each other, Tina!” He excitedly said whilst bouncing up and down in the backseat. I chuckled loudly before turning my head to him.
“I am gladder, Markie.” He smiled at me his sweat, small smile. His eyes shined with happiness and I swear I think I saw my mother’s eyes staring at me, not Markus’.
“And I’m very happy you came too, Harry.” I turned to look at Harry, who looked at the rearview mirror with a smile intact on his face to Markus. I smiled at the heartwarming scene in front of me.
“Now where do you want to go, Markus?” Harry asked and my brother thought deeply for a moment of two before smiling widely.
And so we went for the movies; which wasn’t a very pleasant idea to me, but we had to please Markus. We bought three tickets to a movie called How to Train You Dragon 2 that Markus kept talking about then Harry went to buy popcorn, leaving me with the little guy alone in front of the hall’s entrance. It was already nine to five, meaning we’d be late if Harry didn’t arrive now.
I groaned, “Oh God, I’ll kill him if we entered late.” Markus chuckled then shut up when I glared at him.
“Do you love each other, Tina?” He asked innocently. I was startled by the question for a moment until I cleared my throat and bent my knees until I reached his height. I stroked his sleek brown hair gently before smiling at him.
“Do you even know what the meaning of love is, Markus?” I asked in disbelief. He furrowed his eyebrows together and pouted his lips in thinking.
“It’s when two people like each other and then they get married, right?” I shook my head while laughing at his childish answer.
“No honey, it’s more than that. But you’re too young to understand, Markie.”
