"I've never been very beautiful, and that's fine because that's not important to me"
- Rachel from 'Me and Earl and the Dying Girl'Danger (feat. Migos) - Marshmello
...Everything went like a blur that I didn't realize I was moved to an empty room. James was staring at me, a weird expression on his face. I wasn't paying much attention to him, the words "You passed." Preoccupying my thoughts. I find myself grinning at the statement, to which James seemingly assumed I was grinning at him, because he grinned back. Only, there's was something off about it, my suspicions being confirmed when he slams his lips onto mine.
All the gentleness he showed me over at his apartment was replaced with sheer force, and the way he clumsily roamed round my body didn't help matters. I was still for a moment, confused and enraged, then a thought crossed my mind and I relaxed.
Leaning forward, I kiss him back with almost as much intensity. Thanking the heavens I decided against wearing a dress, I reach for my phone at the back pocket of my shorts. With practiced expertise, I unlock the phone behind my back tap on camera. I could have taken a deep breath then when the camera flash went off and the picture was taken, but his tongue which was forcefully shoved down my throat was blocking the way.
He immediately pulls back, probably from the light emitted from the phone, and gives me that could kill.
"You bitch."
My heart momentarily beats a lot faster and I can suddenly hear the thudding sound in my chest. I briefly close my eyes and try to control the fear. When I do, I open my eyes and stare down at him, knowing fully well I have the upper hand.
He moves to grab the phone from me, but his movements are heavy and clumsy, making it easy for me to dodge. I grin as I watch his frustrated attempts to get a hold of the device. He finally stops trying and just glares at me.
"Guess Mr. High Class and Literature wasn't made for running." I say sarcastically. The look he gives me doesn't stop me though, I was on a roll tonight. "You know what I've noticed about you, James, is that you aren't really the charming prince you've made everyone believe."
I inwardly cringe at the words I used, remembering all too well those were the same words Mum used for Dad. But I continue relentlessly.
"Because if you were, you wouldn't be here, kissing a girl who's not your girlfriend."
Arms crossed and jaw set, I knew I had the real James right before me, and I wasn't about to let the opportunity slip away.
"I need you to answer some questions for me."
"Fuck you, I'm not answering shit." He spits the words out like venom and I find myself grinning again.
"So he swears."
He keeps mute. I groan and run my hands through my short hair. I then clasp my hands together and look at him.
"I'm not going to baby you James. The simplest fact is, this picture goes into everyone's inbox if you don't answer my questions."
He still keeps mute. With a sigh, I reach for my phone.
"Stop!" He yells
I cross my arms and stare at him. He sighs.
"I'll answer your stupid questions." He mumbles.
"First off," I start, not wasting time, "What's your real relationship with Bree."
"Two people that realize they could benefit each other." He answers easily.
"Benefit what?"
"Isn't it obvious? We're the ultimate power couple. Besides, Bree's using this as a cover up so no one finds out she's gay."
