Chapter 22

I woke up to the sound of banging on the door. I sat up in the bed and looked out the window to see Felicia's car outside. I put on one of Alonzo's shirts and went downstairs to open the door.

"Why are you banging on the door? You have a key" I asked groggily"

"If I got in with a key you wouldn't have woke up" she said stepping in.

"Hey Ma" Aliyyah said to me.

"Hey baby" I said kissing her on the cheek.

"Why aren't you dressed?" she asked me. I'd just noticed that she had on a grey leopard dress and silver sandals.

"Dressed for what?"

"We supposed to be going to see The Best Man Holiday in thirty minutes"

"Oh yeah. I forgot. Give me twenty minutes to get ready" I said walking up the stairs. I walked into the bathroom and took a quick shower and brushed my teeth.

I walked out of the bathroom in just a towel and looked for something to wear

"I must didn't do my job right if you're awake already" he whispered into my neck.

"Mm, I would still be sleep but Felicia loud self came and started banging on the door. Now we bouta go to the movies"

"What y'all seeing?"

"Best Man Holiday" I said.

"I heard that was a good movie" he said sitting back on the bed.

"It looks like it is" I decided to wear a black pencil skirt and a cheetah print shirt with a heart neckline and brown and black sandals.

I lotioned up and started to curl my hair when Aliyyah walked in.

"Ma, I wanna go to the movies too" she whined.

"Maybe next time baby, the movie we're going to see is Rated R"

"But I wanna go"

"How about today me and you will watch movies on the big TV downstairs and then on Saturday you, me, and mommy will go to the movies and out to eat. That sound good to you?" Alonzo said.

A smile appeared on her face "Can we see Frozen?"

"We can see anything you want" he said.

"Yay! I love you daddy" she said hugging him.

"I love you too princess" he said

"Hey what about me? Do I get some love too?" I asked.

She giggled and came over and kissed me on the cheek and hugged me before running out of the room.

"Thanks" I said kissing him before grabbing my purse.

"You're welcome. Have fun and tell Fee I said wassup" he said before smacking me on the butt.

I winked at him and went downstairs.

"I'm ready" I said to Felicia.

"Bout time. I thought I was gon have to come get you" she said getting off the couch. We got into her Mustang GT convertible and pulled off.

"So..." she said.

"So..." I repeated.

"Stop playin. I know you and Alonzo been fuckin. Give me all the details"

I laughed. "There's nothing to tell"

"Come on, I'm your best friend. Tell me. Was it big?"

I smirked and nodded my head.
