Chapter 48

Shantay

Alonzo and I were just chillin on the couch when I felt the sudden urge to pee. I stood up off the couch and a gush of liquid rushed from in between my legs and on to the floor.

"Oh shit. I think your water just broke" he said.

"No. No that can't be it. I'm not due for another week"

"Well she wants to get out now. Ima get the diaper bag and something else for you to wear" he said before dashing up the stairs. I pulled and my phone and texted Jaylin and Regina.

Tayyy: you guys .. its happening

JayBabii: whats happening

Tayyy: my water jus broke.. get here asap

Gi-Gi: ooo my goddaughter bouta be here... lets get it

Alonzo came down with a dress for me and the diaper bag. I quickly changed and he helped me into the car before we sped off to the hospital.

I was in so much pain. It like I was being stabbed numerous times in the same spot.

"Lonnnnn it hurts" I screamed.

"I know baby. I know we almost there" he said rubbing my stomach with one hand and steering with the other.We pulled up to Jackson Memorial hospital.

"Yo my wife just went into labor. We need help over here" he yelled to the paramedics. They rushed over to the car, got me out, and put me on the gurney.

I felt another contraction hit and I screamed out in pain.

They rushed me through the hospital doors and to the nearest hospital room. Dr. Carson told Alonzo he would have to put on the protective stuff that she was wearing. They gave me some Epidural and I got woozy. Alonzo came back in and came over to hold my hand.

"Ok Shantay get ready to push" Dr. Carson said to me.

Six hours later and our baby had yet to be born. Shantay would squeeze my hand harder every time she pushed or felt any more contractions.

"Ok sweetie I see the head" Dr. Carson said.

I wanted to see but I heard stories about niggas fainting and I'm not bouta be one of em.

"Push!" she said to Shantay.

"AAAARGH!!" she screamed about to break my hand.

"One more. We're almost there"

"AAAAAARRRRGHH!" she screamed again before I heard the baby's cry.

"Its a girl" the nurse said. She dotted down what I assumed was the date and the time.

"Would you like to do the honors?" Dr. Carson asked me.

I smiled and grabbed the scissors before snipping off the umbilical cord. The nurses went to wash her off and Dr. Carson left as well.

I walked back over to Shantay.

"You did good baby" I said kissing her forehead.

"I am never... doing that again. Feels like she ripped me a new hole"

I laughed as they brought our daughter back in the room and gave her to Shantay. She was so beuatiful. She had my eyes and Tay's everything else. She was perfect.

"What are we naming her?" I asked. She smiled.

"Nah'Riyah Angelique Victor"

I nodded in approval as Shantay hamded her to me. She was so precious.

"Hi Nah'Riyah. Im your daddy" she smiled a toothless smile which made me smile.

"Me and mommy promise to protect you from any and everything"

"She gon be so spoiled" I heard a familiar voice say. I turned to see Tracy smiling. I still didn't trust her but Shantay wanted to try and be cool with her again so I just sit back and watch.

Felicia dumb ass-- excuse me I mean Regina dumb ass busted up in the room next talkin bout "IS THAT MY GODBABY?! LEMME HOLD HER"

"Girl sit yo happy ass down. She just came out the cooch" Shantay said laughing. REgina looked at Tracy and mugged her.

"Tracy" she said.

"Felicia" Tracy responded

"Its Regina bitch"

Tracy just rolled her eyes and sat in one of the chairs.

Jaylin and Chris came in with gifts and balloons like normal people and kissed and hugged Tay. I looked down at my daughter. She was just so beautiful. She was gonna break a lot of hearts. But if anybody breaks hers I still got that shotgun that Ms.Isis gave us.
