Mom's bell rang through the hallways,
"Children! Please make your way to the living room!" She called while knocking on every bedroom door as she passed them. We all glanced at eachother in confusion as we stood in number order in the living room. "I have good news"!" She announced cheerily, Father stood disgruntled in the corner of the room. "You have been invited to an interview on live TV!" Allison and Klaus were almost buzzing in excitement, Luther and Five looked rather nonchalant whereas myself, Ben and Diego were all very nervous.
"All of us?" I asked in a whisper,
"All of you." Mom confirmed with a smile to me. "First I'll be taking the girls to buy their outfits then after I'll take you boys. While your not shopping you will be learning about how to answer your questions from Pogo and your father. Girls, go get ready into the clothes you used for the undercover work." I nodded and ran to my room. Remembering the leggings had been cut open when I hurt my leg, I went to knock on Allison's door.
"Hey Allison? I don't want to intrude but do you have a spair bottoms? Mine were ruined when I hurt my leg." I said awkwardly while waiting outside the door,
"Sure, do you want to come in?" She replied. Opening the door, I saw she was sitting at her vanity applying makeup. Getting up she grabbed some clothes from her wardrobe. "What clothes do you have already?"
"Uhh a big grey hoodie, wedge boots, green hat, scrunchies and glasses." After pausing to think she replied:
"Go get them please" Nodding, I dashed to grab the small pile of clothes. She grabbed a pair of high-waisted jeans and a mustard yellow v-neck top. "Okay, keep your hair down. Wear these and tuck some of the front into the jeans and wear the boots and put the black scrunchie on your wrist."
"Thankyou Allison" I grinned shyly as I closed the door behind me. Soon after I finished dressing, a knock arrived on my door. It was Five, he smiled at me walked in to sit down on my bed.
"Hey Van"
"Van? That's new"
"I like it, Van. I have something I need to give you." He said, making me panic slightly. "Close your eyes" Following his instructions, I waited in the dark for him to do something. Prising my hand open, a small item was placed delicately in my palm. It was a small rose gold plated chain with a treble clef hanging off it.
"Oh Five, it's beautifull" I said quietly with a subdued smile.
"Really? You like it? Do you want me to put it on you?" He chattered happily. Nodding eagerly in repsonse to all three questions, I smiled at him. I lifted up my hair as he sat behind me and closed the clasp. Feeling the necklace over in my hand I smiled to myself at his thoughtfullness.
"Thankyou Five" Hearing Mom's bell, I kissed him on the cheek and got up to leave.

"Pick 3 dress outfits, try them on and we'll consult on the best choice. Then we can buy some more clothes because I think you might have a bit of a shortage." Mom said as we walked into the store. Almost immediatly Allison ventured off towards the dresses. Me and Mom followed her slowly. After a while I grabbed a long sleeved, knee length mustard coloured dress with small black flowers with smaller polka dots and a pair of matching chunky-heeled sandals. I also grabbed a black floral dress with the triangles over my chest being pulled into a tie, leaving a small cutout underneath before the waist and with yellow sandals with a strap around the ankle and a yellow wedged base. After trying them both on we decided on the first outfit but Allison suggested I wear the necklace I was wearing with it and curl my hair.
"I just thought, if you wore black fishnets with it and maybe a black denim jacket, it might be more versatile and less formal."
"That would look great Vanya" Mom agreed, "I'll go find them" Allison walked over and sat next to me on the small seat in the dressing room.
"So where did you get the necklace?" She asked,
"Five gave it to me" I smiled while looking down at it,
"Can I ask what's going with you and Five? Are you dating?"
"I don't know, I really like him but I don't think we'd be able to date. I don't think of him as my brother but we have the same father..."
"I think it's fine, he's not your brother and honestly he isn't our dad. He's just the person that adopted us, we're not siblings." She replied with a comforting smile.
"Even though I live in a house with six other children. I don't really think I have any family, I assume a robot and an ape don't count..." I laughed sadly,
"Just because we're not related doesn't mean we can't be sisters. If I were you, I'd think of Luther, Diego, Ben and Klaus as my brothers but Five as my whatever you and Five are. Do you want to be my sister?"
"I'd like that, sis" I giggled back, she laughed too and went to go change out of her chosen outfit: a khaki green body con dress with a black and white stripe around the kneck and short sleeves with black cross-strapped chunky sandals. After we bought some more clothes, we went to a cafe, me and Allison both had a mango smoothie. Mom didn't have anything because I assume a robot can't drink smoothies.
"Thankyou for today, thankyou for being my Mom and my sister."
"I'm glad you had a good day Vanya." Mom smiled.
So... I have a family.
