" C'mon officer can't you just let us out. I promise we won't do anything wrong again," Ace pleads.

Currently we're in jail. Yes you heard me right. Jail. After the cops pulled us over Ace tried to bribe them with money and obviously it didn't work. Then the two male officers commented on my ass and Ace got pissed and punched one of them in the face then I wanted to get in so I punched the other officer in the face.

So here we are. In jail. Yay.

" You and your fucking bitch punched us in the face, so no we can't let you out," the police officer that Ace punched hisses.

I roll my eyes. " Excuse me ma'am did you just roll your eyes at me?" He asks.

" Yes dumbass I did," I growl.

" Okay okay everyone just calm down. Can you two leave us alone for a second?" Ace asks the both of them.

They both mutter curses under their breath and reluctantly leave the jail cell.

" Hey I know this wasn't how you envisioned our date to end but..."

" No no the date was fucking perfect. It's just that jail cells bring back bad memories," I mutter.

I'm suffocating. My hands are shaking wildly and I can't seem to get my breathing in check. It's like my lungs are refusing to take in oxygen.

I hate jail cells. They make me want to throw up. I was beaten in a jail cell once. Harassed by a police officer the other. I hate cops. My brother is a cop. I refused to talk to him for 2 weeks after he told me he enrolled in the police academy downtown. I was worried he was gonna end up like the police officers I knew. The ones that only served for the good of themselves not for the people they're supposed to protect.

I glance at Ace and see he's fidgeting like crazy. What's his problem?

" Have you never been in a jail cell before?" I ask.

" Yea I have it's just the police officers here they don't like me very much..." he trails off.

The door slams open to reveal 5 men all in police uniforms with smug looks on their faces. The man in the middle has pitch black hair and glistening green eyes, he seems to be around his mid 20's. He's wearing a badge that says chief. How could a man that young be chief of police already?

They all waltz in the room and make themselves comfortable. I don't like this.

" Well lookie here boys the almighty Ace has finally gotten to his senses and turned himself in," the chief exclaims.

Chuckles from the 4 men behind him fill the room. What are they his sidekicks? I look over to Ace and seen that his whole demeanor has changed. His face that was once smiling and laughing is now stoic and cool. His face shows no emotions, but his eyes tell a different story. Jealousy maybe? No not that...more like rage.

" What do you want Parker?" Ace asks trying to sound bored, but comes off more tense.

" You're head of that stupid fucking gang. I know it, they know it, and you know it," Parker spits.

" Do you have any proof?" Ace questions a smirk finally making its way across his face.

" Well no but..."

Ace cuts him off, " Then I don't know what you're talking about,"

Silence fills the room and the two have a staring competition. Seconds go by and I tap my foot in annoyance.

I hate jail cells.

I hate jail cells.

I hate jail cells.

I have to get out of here. I need to get out of here. Everything just brings back bad memories from before.

" I don't know who the fuck you are and how you know Ace and frankly I don't really care. You can either let us out or tell us when we get out of here," I snap.

They both look in my direction.

" Well...sweetheart you'll stay here overnight and be let out in the morning," he says and walks out of the room, his 4 sidekicks following him.

" No no no no," I chant.

" What?" he asks.

" I have a huge final tomorrow and I have to be there. Shit shit shit," I rant.

I quickly go towards the lock of the jail cell and take out my apartment key from my bag and a bobby clip. I put both the bobby pin and key inside the lock and move it clockwise until I hear a click.

CLICK.

Jackpot. The cell door opens up and I walk out and usher Ace to follow. I open the door and go through the hallway of the police station, no one paying us any attention.

" Dax!" I shout.

My old friend from high school looks back at me and smiles. I go over to him and grab him in a hug. Dax was one of my good friends in high school that usually got me out of shit when I was in trouble. He moved here to and got a job as a police officer.

" Can you do me a favor and tell the chief that you let us out early or make any type of excuse. I have a huge final tomorrow," I beg.

" Fine April, you should know it's only because you're my  high school friend," he mutters.

" I love you so much!" I squeal.

" Yeah yeah I know,"

I quickly drag Ace out of the police station and we go around the parking lot looking for his car.

" How'd you know that guy?" Ace asks in a snappy tone.

" Damn calm down he's just a friend from high school...why are you jealous?" I tease.

He rolls his eyes, but what I don't know is that a blush is slowly creeping its way on his cheeks. Soon his Lamborghini is in sights and he runs over to it.

" Thank goodness!" he screams.

I roll my eyes and head towards the car.

BOOM.

I look back towards the police station to see people screaming and running out. Gun shots echo throughout the parking lot. Excitement fills its way up into my chest. I haven't had any action of fighting in months.

" April no," Ace warns.

I smile and run to the doors.

" Oh come on!" Ace whines.

He runs up next to me and we both open the doors of the police station to see mayhem.

This'll be fun.
