i was sitting backstage, something that jack and the boys had persisted on. they kept trying to make it discreet, but i had a feeling that something odd was happening. it was the third day into the tour, making in december 29. this was the last show until we fly to new york for their next few shows.

as i sat in the back on the couch, i heard jack singing. we still aren't dating. but, our relationship has reached the point where we basically are, just there's no title. i remembered back to the first day jack and i had, the first official one. he took me to a tree, made me climb it. then, proposed the idea that he wanted me to join him and the boys on tour for a week and a half. currently, that's why im here.

"thank you so much, san fran!" johnson was heard yelling.

suddenly, the door swung open and a sweaty, red, tired looking jack was seen standing at the doorway with a smile.

"so?" he asks, walking in and standing in front of where i sat on the couch, "how were we?"

"amazing!" i reply with a smile. they truly were, you could tell how much passion all four of them had for what they do.

he smiles, "you ready to get on the bus? they're taking us to the airport, then we're flying to new york."

i nod, "yeah, im ready."

a yawn leaves my lips as my eyes begin to slightly close. jack notices and wraps his arm around me, "get on my back. i can tell you're tired."

he was tired too, so i shook my head but only gained a look from him, "get on my back, vans."

jack walked with me on his back, the three opposing boys walking out of their dressing rooms.

"so, do we get piggy back rides too?" nate asked with his eyebrows raised.

jack sarcastically chuckles, "that's funny."

"good evening passengers, we are preparing for take off from san francisco, california to new york city. we ask if you please keep your seatbelts on and if you have any questions, feel free to ask the attendants. thank you for flying with us today, enjoy your flight" the automated woman sounded throughout the plane, catching the attention of few passengers. everybody else had earphones in, were sleeping, or talking with the person next to them. i was at the window seat, jack was beside me, and johnson was beside him. nate and sammy were behind us.

jack looked over at me, which i saw in my peripheral vision, "are you excited?"

i nod, "yeah, i haven't been to new york since i was a little girl."

he chuckles, "i thought you were going to say something about me performing, but that's a good answer too."

"of course, jack. im excited to see you perform" i reply, a playful tone conveying the message.

he rolls his eyes, "i feel loved, thank you."

a smile appeared on my face as he gave me a playful glare, "you're very welcome."
