as i sat at the kitchen island waiting for the water in the pot to boil on the stove, i shamelessly scrolled through various social media sites. various accounts were commenting on every platform about jack and i's engagement. johnson posted some of the pictures he captured and captioned the post:
@jjohnson: i hate third wheeling janessa, but when i get to photograph this moment... it's worth it.
i then went and looked at what everyone was saying.

here and there i stumbled across a hate comment, but shrugged it off because of all of the positive, cute ones. i would commonly giggle off the rude ones because of how thoughtless they are.
i decided to take it into my own hands to post about jack and i's engagement.

chuckles left my lips as i saw people sticking up for me, making me quite happy. but then one comment caught my attention the most.
@jackgilinsky even if she was fat, WHICH SHE ISN'T, that means that there would be more for me to love. so, @imahater0000, your opinion and comment ISN'T RELEVANT here. thanks. @vanessathomas, i love you fiancée.
a smile grew on my lips as i suddenly heard his voice.
"you're not upset at what they're saying, are you?"
i turn around and shake my head with a chuckle, "i was laughing at it, actually. but thank you for defending me."
he snakes his arm around my waist, "i'll always defend my family."
"oh, i forgot" i say with a smile, "i love you too."
i heard the water beginning to boil, jack stopping me from getting up to tend to the water.
"is there enough for me?" he asks and i nod.
"enough for you, me, and our little hungry girl" i respond with a chuckle.
"hungry boy" he coughs, causing me to playfully roll my eyes and shake my head.
