"I'd like to make a toast," Cam spoke up, holding his glass of whiskey in the air, "To our new partner, Void. Welcome to our team of misfits. Not that you have a choice, but I'm sure you'll fit in well."
"To Void!"

We didn't stay at the warehouse much longer. After finishing our food Cam was quick to take me home. On the way home I had asked about the Gypsy Go and The Bandits. Cam told me that the Gypsy Go is actually a biker bar in the shitty area on the western outskirts of Melbourne. It's a fairly secluded place and didn't have a lot of traction aside from the same fifty people that were in and out of there on the daily. They didn't take well to random people passing by and often ran them off, which made sense to me.
The Bandits are a group of people that Ryan actually used to be in. There was no bad blood, Ryan just felt like he could do bigger and better things with his band of misfits. And.. he did. So they broke off and became a whole separate functioning group a few years back. The Bandits brought in the goods from the southern continents, stored it at Gypsy Go, and the Gypsy Go distributes the goods to people like Ryan and such.
Everything seemed so complicated back at the warehouse, but Cam was definitely a huge help with explaining everything that needed to be explained. He told me it was unfair that Ryan hadn't gone into detail, which to an extent I agreed with. Yes, he should have mentioned more but I liked the way Cam said it better. Cam is more clear, calm, and collected. Whereas Ryan is all over the place and likes to get things done quick and easy. He doesn't like questions where Cam actually encourages them.
To me it seemed like Cam should be in the position that Ryan is in, and Ryan should be where Cam is. Some part of me felt like Cam wants to be where Ryan is, too. But soon after thinking that I vowed to keep that assumption in my brain. I would never think to say that out loud. I'd more than likely be laughed at or told to shut up. It was hard to hold my honest tongue around these guys, and it's something I really need to work on before I end up left in the dust.
Or dead.
Cam dropped me off in front of my house and we said our goodbyes, even though he would be over later to help me with the things Toby was supposed to supply me with later. I made my way back into my home and sighed with happiness at the sight and comfort of the living room. My temporary bliss was interrupted by my phone going off, a text from my therapist.
Sam!
Are you going to make it to the appointment today?
"Fuck!" I yelled, glancing at the time. I was supposed to be at therapy five minutes ago.
Rory
I'll be there in ten, promise. Overslept.
He'd buy it. I think. Up until now I had never ever missed or been late to an appointment with Sam. I'm sure he'd be somewhat suspicious, but hopefully with a little convincing I can assure him I had overslept.
While walking the mile to his office I began to feel like it would be very hard to keep the things between the lads and I a secret. But then again I don't have a choice, I'd rather Sam be alive and around opposed to being dead because I couldn't keep my trap shut.
I was hopeful I'd be able to meet some of the girls Ryan had mentioned soon. Being around that much testosterone all the time seems like the hell fires would gradually raise and raise until my soul burns to a crisp.
You're over exaggerating.
"And you're annoying," I whispered to myself as I walked into Sams building. The bell by the door rang and the feeling of cold air mixed with the scent of mint smacked me in the face. It's refreshing, really. Sam popped his head out from inside the room, beckoning for me to come inside.
