Cam kissed the top of my head and stayed quiet for the rest of the ride.
Even with the comfort of Cam holding onto me, I couldn't shake the feeling of anxiety that slowly rose in my chest as we neared our destination.

"Fucking hell," I grumbled as the truck roughly came to a halt, making our small group stumble around. "Ryan knows we're still back here, right?"
"I mean, I'd like to think so," Toby said. The lights in the back of the truck turned on as the door silently rolled up. Jay came into view once it was rolled up halfway, he held a finger to his lips in attempt to keep us quiet.
"Didn't feel like it," Mason whispered while he rubbed his arm where a large-ish bruise was starting to form.
Jay beckoned for us to come out of the truck and we silently did as we were told. Eric and Ryan appeared next to Jay and we all placed our masks on, making sure to secure them properly. The scaredy cat inside of me kept screaming at me. It begged and pleaded for me to turn around and run. But I couldn't.
I'm in too deep.
Ryan silently gestured for Jay and I to stand to the right and left of the back of the truck as the rest of them wielded their weapons and headed into the large building. If it weren't for the full moon, it's likely Jay and I would be left in complete darkness. I took notice of Jays hand gun placed strategically in his hands, meaning he would be ready to fight if the time came.
You should be ready, too. What if someone came out from the corner of the building in the next ten seconds? You'd get shot, dumbass.
I reached behind me and slipped the weapon from my jeans, running my thumbs over the smooth metal. After placing my finger over the trigger, I cupped the butt of the gun in my other hand. That way if an enemy came I could easily switch the safety off and defend myself.
My hands started to shake as Jay cleared his throat. For a split second I didn't know it was him. I turned to face him as he gestured towards the door of the building we were placed in front of, in the little light I had available I caught a glimpse of his face; he held a concerned expression. A light turned on the fifth floor just as my eyes focused on the building and the feeling of fear became present on the back of my neck as I realized why Jay seemed so concerned.
The lads were supposed to be retrieving the fentanyl from the basement. Five floors up isn't the fucking basement.
I turned to Jay and realized he had walked over to stand close to me, "That's definitely not them up there. Ryan would have let us know on the walkie if they planned on visiting a different part of the building."
I took that as my cue and pulled the small piece of technology from my jeans, holding it tight against my mouth to make it as quiet as I could, "Captain, we've got activity on the fifth floor."
"Copy. We should be able to get this done in two trips, on our way up now with the first bags," Ryans voice electronically came through my ear.
"Keep an extra eye out and listen to the best of your abilities," Jay hissed at me and returned back to his side of the truck.
Adrenaline pulsed through my veins as a second light turned on, this time on the forth floor. I widened my stance, calmed my breathing, and focused on stopping my hands from shaking. Footsteps coming from behind me made both Jay and I to whirl around and point our weapons. The steps got louder and louder, eventually the faces of our friends filed in single line through the doorway.
Each of them carried two to three large duffel bags in each hand and quickly made their way to the back of the truck, doing their best to stay quiet as they slid the bags in the back. I ran over to Ryan and tapped his shoulder, getting his attention, "Look up," I pointed up at the two lights above us.
