Amy swung her legs over the edge of the bed and wiped her eyes with the side of her hands. She looked over to her alarm clock and realized that it had been switched off. She hung her head in shame, realizing that Aj had shut the alarm off to prevent her from waking to face one of the hardest goodbyes she may ever need to face. She turned around and gently picked up the rose and brought it to her face. She smiled, realizing it smelled just like her favorite sent of his cologne. She stood up and walked into the bathroom. She pulled out a small vase and filled it halfway with water, calmly placing the rose inside. The rose vase was gently placed on the window sill and she wandered back into the bedroom.
Amy strutted back into the bedroom, as she grabbed a hair band and put her hair in a messy bun. She looked over and realized that there had been a note on Aj's pillow. She walked back over to her side of the bed and sat down, reaching for the note. She opened the note with care, unsure of what she was going to find. Nothing but a little note resides on the paper. She read it silently in her head.
"Dearest Amy, I was never good at goodbyes and
I know it should help since I love you, but it would have been
too sad. I'll be home soon, but in the mean time,
look in the top dresser drawer..."
Amy wiped the tears from her eyes and sighed. She stood and opened the window shades, only to have the liht of the sun splash through and fill the room. amy walked over to her dresser drawer, which looked oddly ajar. Cautiously, she reached for the handle and opened the drawer. All worry went out the window when she looked into the drawer and saw another small, folded up note, along with the most beautifulbeautiful bracelet she'd ever seen. She gently reaches and picks up the bracelet. She studies the bracelet, only to soon realize that it's one and only charm was half one; a heart.
