Amy awoke from a pounding migrain, only to be scared of what she saw the moment she opened her eyes. She looked around the room and saw her clothes were laying on the floor, along with Tanner's. She instantly turned to her side and she saw none other than Tanner. It wouldn't have been so bad if Amy wasn't naked and Tanner wasn't asleep on Aj's side of the bed, also clothesless.
Amy jolted out of the bed and headed for her dresser. She quickly dressed herself in the first thing she could find. She frantically picked up her clothes and threw them in the dirty laundry basket as if they were infected with some fatel desease. Doing so, Amy bumped the bed side table, causing the alarm clock and lamp to fall to the floor.
"Hey there, Amy." Tanner said, awakened by the lamp clattering to the floor. With his deep voice so strong and seductive, he pulled the blanket up to be sure that he was unexposed. The sound of his voice caused Amy to jump in her tracks.
"Hi." Hi. That was all she could say before the tears began streaming down her face. Guilt overwhelmed her. She was happy, though. How could she feel guilty? Wouldn't Aj want her to be happy, rather than wasting away the rest of her life, hiding in her house? She felt as if she betrayed the only one she's ever loved. Loved. Aj will always be her love, her first love, but Tanner was here, now. Amy's thoughts were interrupted by the closing of a car door outside.
After Amy had been brought back to reality, she realized that Tanner was standing before her, attempting to recreate what happened the night before. She tried to push him off her, but she wasn't strong enough. Just as Tanner was about to relax her, a knock that was tapped in a rythmic style began on the front door.
Tanner sighed and back away from Amy, slipping into a pair of gym shorts before exiting the room and decending the stairs. Amy followed behind him, unsure of who to expect to be behind the door. Still yawning and stretching, Amy had only to realize that everything was about to change.
