After months of waiting, a sudden phone call put all faith back into Amy's heart. She answered the phone in disbelief. Her heart jumed for joy when she heard his voice on the other end of the connection. Aj was excited as well, he got to talk to her and let her know that he was still alright. Aj continued to explain to her that he was given the phone to call home, and he now was able to use the computer. This meant she would be able to see him through a series of videochats, pictures, and instant messages.

Amy was happy again. For once she was able to stand tall, with confidence that Aj would return home safe and sound soon enough. The next four months consisted of endless conversation of more wedding plans, school work for Amy, and just young love chatter. Everything felt right to Amy, only up until everything stopped. Aj told Amy that he would be going out to fight and wouldn't have any contact with anyone except him team, therefore he wouldn't be able to talk with her. Amy told him to be safe and that she loved him. After only two weeks of being with no cantact of Aj, she felt a rush of heartbreak. Little did Amy know that all her fears would soon be realized when she heard a knock on her front door.

Amy felt her heart sink before she even gor to the door. She felt as if she knew what was about to happen. Once again, she was right. When Amy got to the door, she looked through the glass and saw two unfamiliar faces. She unwillingly opened the door and to her dismay, she was greeted by a preist and a USMC Colonel. She regretfully looked down to the hands of the preist, which were holding a perfectly folded american flag.
