Ever since Jeongguk woke up, I occasionally visited the hospital, you can say every morning, afternoon and night, whenever I had the time.

He was a sweet and shy boy. Even though he knew about his condition, he stayed positive and always plastered his signature bunny smile.

I was grateful that he was still willing to talk to me whenever I visited despite my broken Korean.

He would try to converse in basic Japanese too and I found that cute.

It was another sunny day in Kamakura, the sun dominating the clear blue sky.

As usual, after my class, I made my way to the hospital.

I parked my bicycle at the bicycle stands and grabbed the plastic bag of fruits along with the bento bag for Jeongguk.

The wave of hospital smell greeted me when I entered. I proceeded to the counter and placed the plastic bag on the countertop.

When the nurses saw me, they greeted me and smiled.

"Aiy, Chiyo-ssan, you don't have to buy us anything when you come." one of the nurse said.

I only smiled. "Thank you for taking care of Jeongguk."

The nurses smirked.

"Are you sure you and Jeongguk-ssan are not a couple?"

My cheeks heated up.

"Nooo! I am just his saviour. Don't misunderstand." I waved my hands frantically.

The nurses giggled at my reaction.

"Whatever you said, Chiyo-ssan. Oh and Jeongguk-ssan can be discharged today."

Jeongguk-ssan can be discharged today, those words repeated in my mind.

I snapped back to reality and thanked the nurses before walking away.

My feet stopped in front of the familiar door with the number 55 on it.

Once I opened the door, I saw Jeongguk sitting on the bed, looking at the distance.

"Jeongguk-ssan?"

He turned his head and when he saw me, he smiled and waved.

"Konichiwa Chiyo-ssan." he greeted.

I smiled. "Konichiwa, Jeongguk-ssan. I brought you food."

I place the bento on the table. Jeongguk eyed the bento with admiration.

"You don't have to make me bentos all the time. You can just buy me bread." he said, well from what I understood of course.

I shook my head. "I love making them anyways, so no worries. I hope you like them." I said in my broken Korean.

He nodded enthusiastically, like a little child.
