2nd POV:
You were beyond irritated and everyone around you knew this. You were walking to class with your arm in a sling and the one at fault for your messed up arm was walking beside you as if she didn't just do that. You're honestly perplexed as to why you still even bothered being around her. You knew she could be a danger to your physical health yet you never pushed her away.
Perhaps its that happy-go-lucky demeanor of hers that's keeping her in place. You wouldn't admit it out loud, but seeing her treat you like any other student in the school, she kind of won your friendship. Despite that, you'd still appreciate it if she weren't such a risk taker with your own body. You couldn't even argue with her because that was an impossible task for you.
"Alright, (Y/N)-san, can you please help me try this out?"
You immediately shook your head. I just sat down! You weren't gonna get back up, you were exhausted because of yesterdays tasks. "Oh please!" You waved your good arm in front of you, dismissing her pleads, swatting them away. "How mean." She pouted but that immediately disappeared and she smiled broadly as she continued working on her babies. She'll literally kill me if I let her persuade me so easily! You hang your head back, your vision now upside down as you stared blankly out the classroom window.
A few students would pass by, not even batting an eyelid at you while you started rocking your chair just a tad. Then came a familiar face and he had to double-take when he looked through the window. He had stopped walking and was now staring at you before finally deciding to press his right hand and his face against the window, giving a small goofy smile as he stuck his tongue out a bit. The action caught you off guard and you cracked a grin at him.
You pushed your chair back a bit too far and it began to tip over. Your smile immediately disappeared as your heart dropped. Darn it. Was all you good say to yourself as both you and your chair made heavy contact with the floor. The loud thud grabbed the attention of all your classmates and your teacher, all eyes on where your head peeped over your desk, your cheeks aflame. Your classmates began to ask if you were okay, your teacher scolded you lightly while telling you to be more careful. Mirio, on the other hand, had the tip of his fingers over his lips and his free hand was pointing at you while he smirked and giggled to himself.
You gave him a small glare and he slowly put his hands down then rubbed the back of his neck while avoiding eye contact with you. You sighed, hiding your smile with your hair as you stood up and sat in your seat again. Despite the embarrassment, that had seemed to lighten your mood and now you felt more at bliss with what today had in store for you.
"I'm so sorry (L/N)!"
You held a rather stoic expression as Mirio stood beside you and Recovery Girl examened your arm, clicking her tongue in disapproval. "Ms. (L/N), I told you to be quite careful with your arm, it was still quite tender after your incident with Hatsume." You hung your head in disappointment. How hadn't you noticed that your shoulder got dislocated during the fall? It was your non-dominant arm so you didn't need to move it all that much. You actually found out after class, you left class during your recess interval and Mirio was still outside.
After saying a couple of things to you, he gave you a small pat to your shoulder. It was suppose to be a warm and friendly pat, but instead you were met with an excruciating throb. The pain itself made you freeze and hunch over, you were softly clutching at your shoulder while Mirio seemed to slightly panic. Not entirely sure as to what was going on. Hissing in pain, you pulled your device out of your skirt's pocket.
"I think my shoulder's dislocated."
"Oh my- Did I just dislocate it?" You laughed silently as you stood up straight once the throbbing mostly subsided. "I'm pretty sure the fall did." After slightly cursing, Mirio helped you to Recovery Girl's office, an explanation now given as to why you were there in the first place.
After she had healed your arm, she told you to keep it in the sling for the rest of the day which wasn't entirely bad. It now gave you an excuse to not be able to finish your assignment, which by the way, you still haven't quite figured out what to do yet. You let out a breath of slight relief as you hopped off the gurney and began walking out the nurse's office, Mirio right at your heel. "You okay? If you want I can carry you around." You gave Mirio an amused look as you shook your head. "I dislocated my shoulder, I didn't break my feet." Mirio laughed nervously at your statement.
"Right. I see your point there."
You smiled at him as you continued walking to your class, feeling less and less the desire to go back. You pouted to yourself but Mirio caught it as well. "Not ready to go to class yet?" You rubbed your messed up arm as you ceased your steps. "I'm not really quite over the fact I embarrassed myself in there earlier......Can we take a detour?" Mirio laughed as he hastily agreed. "Can't say your teacher would be all too happy to see me. He kind of saw the whole situation between you and me." You smirked, although you looked stupid, Mirio's situation wasn't any better than yours either.
They meandered in silence away from your class, hoping that no one in there saw you when you passed by. Mirio fixated his gaze on you, for once actually analyzing your features. He honestly really liked your (h/l), (h/c) hair, he thought it suited you well. Despite how much he liked your hair, what caught his attention the most wasn't that but the fact that he just noticed how you're always wearing tights.
Today, specifically, were (f/c) and white stripes. He shook his head, deciding not to think much of it. "What are you two doing out of class?" Both you and Mirio jumped in fright, hearts beating erratically as you faced the teacher with your arms up. As if you had actually done something bad. "Midnight -sensei?! What a pleasant surprise to see you here!" You face-palmed at his weak attempt to suave his way out of this.
"Uh-uh Togata. Go to class. You too, young lady." You sweat dropped as you hung your head while Mirio laughed nervously, both now heading the opposite way to go to class. You decided to sneak one more glance at him, immediately regretting it when you catch him mouthing to you and behind Midnight's back, 'Baby come back!' His arms were wide open, as if waiting for you to run into them, a look of despair on his face.
You pinched your nose to keep yourself from snorting out loud as your cheeks went red. You waved him off as you continued your way. You shook your head to yourself, a little confused and embarrassed.
No way in hell am I ever gonna admit I actually wanted to run into his arms!
After calming down, you went into your class with a small smile plastered on your lips.
