3rd POV:
"(Y/n). (Y/n)...(Y/n) (Y/n) (Y/n) (Y/n)....Come on (Y/n)."
His voice was never above a hushed whisper and she absolutely hated it.
He ran his long slender fingers through her (h/c) matted hair, her scalp was always on fire from her endless scratching, sometimes she would sob as she yanked on her own hair, wishing to be able to get rid of it somehow. Right now though, she wouldn't dare utter a single word, not a single sound would escape from her trembling cracked lips. Her eyes never abandoned her feet, looking quite horrifying, worse than her lips now that the winter solstice had arrived. She sat on the frigid stone floor, her feet outstretched in front of her and her arms hanging loosely at her sides, her spine curling unnaturally so that she wouldn't risk looking the man in the eye. The back of her hands had become numb laying uncomfortably against the floor, she didn't want to bother in trying to check whether she could still move them.
What was the point in doing so, anyways?
Her eyes had long ago bled every salt of her soul out, she had nothing left to give. The little bit of hope she had left was starting to whither away and she had no strength or will left to stop it. "You're starting to become a nice piece of work. To think you'd actually last this long without losing your mind." He sat cross-legged in front of her leaning to the side, his head almost touching the ground just so he could get a good look at her face. His onyx eyes were wild, insanity swirling uncontrollably inside but he wouldn't smile and yet his expression held nothing but bliss. "Yes..my best work yet." He reached for her foot, gingerly running the tip of his finger against her toes before pushing her pinky toe back to the point where she grit her teeth.
His other hand busied itself in digging his sharpened nails into the healing cracks of her other foot, the wounds weeping blood but she didn't flinch; not even when he pushed her pinky toe past it's tolerable zone. It cracked once, cracking sickeningly again as he set it back to its original state. "You don't make a peep even after dislocating your toe." He sighed and despite being consumed by his euphoria, he would only lower his voice and spoke almost inaudibly.
"Now...I'm never letting you go. My dear (Y/n)."
2nd POV:
You were sweating profusely, coughing haphazardly as you sat up before tumbling to the floor and untangling yourself from your blankets. You stood up and rushed to your bathroom, hacking and retching everything you ate prior. After what seemed like hours, you finally calmed down, your hand clutching at your pajama shirt and pressing firmly against your chest. Your eyes were clenched, your sweat dripping into the toilet as you tried effortlessly to catch your breath, trying not to break down into sobs but as soon as you were barely starting to calm down, your parents burst into your room and rush towards you. They drop to the ground beside you, their expression nothing but sorrow and worry. "(Y/n), sweetheart, what's wrong? What happened?" You feel your resolve snap and weep. Your mom crying beside you as she pulls you into a tight embrace, your dad clenches his jaw, the distraught of seeing you like this, barely hanging to the corner of his usually warm eyes. "I'm so sorry, baby." What you abhorred most out everything that has happened was that your parents were constantly apologizing, as if all of this was their fault. You only dug your fingers in your mom's shoulder blades, trying to hide all your shame into her chest.
