 2nd POV:

Your parents were the ones that notice the subtle change in your demeanor when you had come back home from the incident, your eyes unaware as if you were in a totally different world. They wanted to ask what was wrong but before they could even get a word out, you had said in a soft voice that you would be going to bed early and that you were exhausted so they said nothing. When morning came, you had the biggest grin plastered over your face, your whole expression beaming, which struck them as odd. Did you not have an episode as they thought you did the night prior? They stared at you as if you had suddenly grown another head and yet, they still said nothing, wanting to hold on to the thin thread of hope that maybe...just maybe you were on your road to recovery.

Other than your parents, the only other person that had struck them as odd in your sudden change in demeanor was Tamaki but could not put his finger on what exactly it was. "Good morning everyone!" Nejire and Mirio brightened at the familiar sound of your little device's voice, turning completely around to face you as you picked up your pace and rushed over to them. You had, by chance, seen them on your way to school and you could feel the corner of your lips curling upward a little too much at the sight of one particular person. You immediately rush to his side, your grin contagious as causes Mirio's already present smile to widen. "Anything special going on today?" Nejire immediately pipes in and jumps up and down as she begins her usual prattling of everything she was to do today. "Oh! Ryukyu-san is having me join her today for special training during our patrol. Also, Yuyu-chan is helping me plan out my beauty pageant for this year as well. She says she has my outfits already drawn out and I just have to decide which ones I want." She continued on and on about what she was going to do today but you had tuned her out, your eye flitting back and forth from Mirio to Nejire, your mind feeling somewhat hazy.

Don't let him go.

Mirio was chuckling at Nejire's nonstop babbling, she had gone totally off topic but he had already expected that from her, she could never really concentrate on one thing. He was pulled out of his thoughts upon feeling someone gently grabbing onto his arm and he immediately swivels his head to look at the culprit. You were staring ahead this time, not wanting to look him in the eye as he stared at you with wide and curious eyes. Everyone knew that Mirio was always smiling, no matter how bad his day had been and later that day everyone would notice how he was grinning more than usual. They wouldn't really give it a second thought because it was Mirio, he was always beaming for seemingly no reason but later on that day, they would talk amongst themselves and question his wider than usual grin. For now, he could only focus on the way your fingers went from gripping onto his sleeve to gently sliding to gently wrap somewhat around his bicep.

This sent a delightful shiver down his spine as he gave you a smug smirk when you finally felt brave enough to glance at him. You immediately averted your eyes, finding everything strangely interesting at that given moment your face was on fire as your mind went haywire with random thoughts to help cope with your embarrassment. Tamaki was to the very edge of the group beside Nejire but began to lag behind them, feeling his usual gloominess coming at him, and sighed. That's when he notices both you and Mirio acting rather, in his opinion, cringy but cute until he was able to see your face a bit. "Um...(L/n)-san?" He felt his heart drop, not entirely sure what to say about what he was, or if he saw it in the first place. You look at him from over your shoulder, a questioning look on your face and upon seeing you, his heart began to race as he stared at you apprehensively. "N-Nothing...Sorry." He quickly looked away, cheeks warming as he scrunched his brows and squinted at the ground, Did I see that right? When he had caught your expression earlier, everything about it seemed so..unnatural, as if you were someone completely different.

A stranger.

Your eyes revealed someone else, it was not you and he went pale at the sight, all his muscles going rigid as you continued staring at him as if you knew that he knew. He bit back at the sudden nausea crawling up his throat and swallowed harshly as he looked away from you, his fear building up in his chest as he clutched his hands together against himself. Oh gosh...Please don't notice. Eyes clenched, he wished for you to not have noticed the lack of recognition he had towards you, it brought a strange onset of fear that he rather avoid. His instincts kept screaming at him, nagging at him the same thing over and over again every time the two of you made eye contact, You're dangerous. "Tamaki! You good?" He startled out of his trance and turned to look at Mirio, who had been the one to drag him out of his trance, he quickly glanced over at you before looking back at Mirio. "Uh...um...Yeah, I-I'm fine." Mirio raised an eyebrow at his response, years of friendship have taught Mirio to catch whenever Tamaki was upset, he could immediately tell that at that given moment he was most definitely afraid. He wanted to press him for more answers but the way he seemed to avoid looking his way and to pull back, he knew he would not be able to get any answers from him at that given moment. Later. Mirio tells himself and lets Tamaki go for now.

All while Tamaki seemed to lose himself in the turmoil of his own fearful thoughts as he tried to forget the expression on your face when he dared to glance over at you. You were grinning at him, the grin itself was so eery to him, he knew his whole face had paled and couldn't bring himself to say anything to Mirio no matter how much he really wanted to. "Come one, Tamaki! We'll be late!" Nejire's firm hold on his arm somewhat set him at ease, feeling safe in her presence as he nodded and let her drag him the rest of the way to school, his eyes searing holes on your back as you continued holding onto Mirio. You smile at Mirio, who remained completely oblivious to your sudden changes.

Don't let go.

Don't let him leave.
