Ever heard of the saying, "Opposites Attract"?
Mirio has come to realize that it isn't just a saying, but something that is much more than that.
You were very different from him, you didn't shine, you didn't attract the attention of thousands, you d...

3rd POV:
She looked.
And she looked again.
She was sure this was the place but at the same time she felt as if she wasn't. She cursed her bad sense of direction as she continued wondering around the block, now doubting whether she was even in the right area. Great...just great. She pulled her phone out to double check the address that was sent to her early in the morning.
<<White Rabbit: Glitch Coffee & Roasters. There is a fountain nearby. We're all gonna be there! (((o(*°▽°*)o)))>>
She really wanted to spend a day with her friends, she hadn't done that since she entered UA. It would be different for her this time, she was sure of it. At least it would be if she weren't so lost and what was worst was that she felt too ashamed to ask for direction; she would have to pull out her Speak-For-Me. She shook her head, immediately typing into her phone in hopes she could be saved instead.
<<I'm pretty sure I'm lost.>>
It had only taken a couple of minutes for a response to her message and she felt a wave of relief wash over when she read it.
<<White Rabbit: Since I'm late, I'll come get you. Just tell me exactly where you are.>>
The corners of her lips threatened to curve up into a smile, it was typical of Mirio to be late just about anywhere he goes, it was a wonder how was always able to get to class just in the nick of time. She looked away from her phone and began studying her surroundings, for a moment she was taken back by sudden change of scenery. When did I get here? She was in a park, it was rather breathtaking to her, it even had incredibly clear river running through the middle of the whole park! She took a minute to take it in before sending her directions to Mirio.
<<I'm at a park.>>
<<White Rabbit: Oh wow゜+.(。'>艸<)*.☆ You really are lost. The closest park to Glitch Coffee is 15 mins away! No worries! I'm on my way there! Don't Move.
Her face burned, how did she end so far off from her original destination? It's rather preposterous just how clueless she was when it came to getting somewhere. The only places she has gotten to without any problems has been going to school from home and back. She was a lost cause pretty much everywhere else, most of the time she stand in place like a moron, screaming internally at all the unfamiliar buildings. She startled at the gentle grip on her shoulder, quickly turning around to look at whoever was to blame for jump starting her weak heart. She let out a loud sigh at the sight of Mirio.
"Whoops...Did I scare ya? My bad! I guess you were deeper in thought than I thought." He laughed softly to himself before motioning his whole dominant arm towards the correct direction. "This way Milady." She bit the inside of her cheeks, fighting back that stupid grin from forming on her lips. She decided to admire his casual clothing, something she hadn't seen until now and could only thank Mirio (in her head) for choosing such a wonderful pair of blue jeans. They weren't skinny jeans per se but it was definitely taut in just the right places. Especially on his a-
"We're here!"
She quickly averted her eyes away, looking at the somewhat posh cafe and she began to worry about Nejire and Mirio. His goofy grin didn't ease her worry for them, but it definitely was contagious. VERY contagious. She realized she was giving him an opened-mouth smile a split second before quickly snapping her mouth shut. His boisterous laugh had her shuffling her feet and her lips pressed into a thin line. "Lets go inside. They must be annoyed at how late we are." She gasped, clearly remembering that Nejire and Tamaki would be joining them as well and rushed inside to search for them.
She flinched at Nejire's familiar obnoxious tone, "Finally! THEY HAVE ARRIVED!" (Y/n) wanted to literally smack herself at how embarrassing Nejire can be, still, she felt strangely at ease around her. She waited for Mirio to take a seat before boldly sitting beside him, fiddling with the hem of her striped long-sleeved shirt.
"Did you guys order us anything?"
"YUP! And if you don't like it...TOO BAD! That's what happens when you're LATE!" Nejire was making Tamaki cower lower into the table while (Y/n) flinched every time she raised her voice. "Well then! Let us be surprised!" Mirio rubbed his hands together as they set the waitress set their drinks down before bowing. "Enjoy." (Y/n) stared at the drink in front of her, she could see the steam pour out of it, a beautiful leaf was drawn in it and she looked up with curiosity behind her eyes.
Tamaki caught it, ignoring how Mirio made the most repugnant expression at his espresso and Nejire laughing at his pain. "Its a hot latte. Its sweet." He only said a couple of words to her but they left her happy. She nodded her head at him as she brought the coffee cup to her lips, her eyes brightened at the delectable taste of the latte. She quickly pushed the cup under Mirio's chin, urging him to take a sip, which he did without a second thought and made the same delighted expression as she did.
"That's pretty unfair. Why does only (L/n) get a delicious drink? This espresso is too sour for my taste buds."
Nejire shrugged her shoulders at him, "Should've been here earlier. That's punishment. Now drink it all or no pastries." Her glare took everyone by surprise and Mirio only saluted in slight fear. "Yes ma'am!" The whole group was silent before breaking out into rambunctious laughter when they were no longer able to look at each seriously. When they're pastries arrived, they're chipper chattering only grew as they ate it wholesomely.
At some point, (Y/n) had come to realize that Mirio was sitting so painstakingly close, it was a wonder how she had not noticed it sooner. When exactly did he start closing in on her? As much as she appreciated the closeness, her nerves were on a high, she became rigid and incredibly hyper aware at he would discreetly scoot closer until their thighs were touching. Her breath caught in her throat, her smile frozen on her face as the rush of heat took her by surprise. How can he act so normal while being so sneaky? She began to wonder if his closeness was a way to comfort her after seeing her at her most vulnerable state the other day.
She sneaked a glance at him from the corner of her eye but dropped her gaze in shame when he did the same upon feeling her intense gaze. He seemed to enjoy her sheepish reactions, she was sure of it because he began nudging her knee with his own as he continued blabbering nonsense with Nejire and teasing Tamaki out of his turtle shell.
Now I truly know why Tamaki is the way he is around Mirio. She picked her cup back up, using both hands to steady her shaking as she listened in on their conversations, nodding her head or shaking it when they brought her in their conversations.
Her heart never stopped beating harshly against her chest even when they left the cafe to go shopping at nearby stores; she could only press her palm against her chest in a futile attempt to calm it before sighing in defeat.
