3rd POV:

"Tamaki-kun! Where have you been?!" Tamaki cautiously looks over his shoulder and flinches at the sight of Nejire rushing towards him while waving frantically at him. He recedes into himself as she jumps on him, giggling and as bubbly as ever, giving a quick bear hug before letting him go. Tamaki really liked Nejire because despite being a very physical and effervescent person, and extremely airheaded, she always tried to respect his boundaries to the best of her abilities. "Have you seen Mirio and (L/n)-chan lately? I've missed you guys so much!" She's wiggling in place as she continues walking beside him but her question and statement only made his anxiety spike all the more at the thought of (L/n)-san. "N-Nejire, I th-think something is wrong with (L/n)-san." Nejire stops walking and so does Tamaki, turning around to look at her. "(L/n)-chan? She is mute." Tamaki immediately flushes and shakes his head frantically in disagreement. "No! Not that! I m-mean she's been a-acting really strange lately. A-Almost as if it were someone e-else." Nejire couldn't help the confusion be evident on her face, she really couldn't understand what Tamaki was trying to tell her. "I'm sorry Tamaki, I don't quite understand what your trying to tell me." They both frown, Tamaki more out of frustration and Nejire from being upset on not being able to understand him.

"(L/n)-san...she's been acting strange. She's n-not herself and I think Mirio doesn't see it. I'm a-afraid for h-him." Nejire says nothing and Tamaki was afraid that she wouldn't or didn't believe him and he could already feel his hope deflating, that was until he lifted his gaze to look at her face. "What did you see, exactly?" She was still smiling but for once, other than on the battlefield, she looked and seemed to be taking Tamaki seriously, he internally beamed. "She seems to be bi-bipolar...I guess...I'm not sure what's the b-best way to describe it. It's almost as if there is another person inside of h-her...and she is very d-dangerous." Nejire hummed in a contemplated response as she began to let her mind wander before finally giving a verbal response several minutes later. "Like a dual personality disorder?" Tamaki perked at her question and nodded his head enthusiastically in agreement. "Yes! Th-that's exactly it!" Nejire jumps in joy at Tamaki's own joy before realizing the seriousness of his accusation. "But...How do you know exactly that is what she has?" Tamaki frowns and lets his gaze fall to his feet once more as the memories of (Y/n) acting strange begin to flood his mind. "The latest, wh-which was just a while ago, I had finally gotten Mirio alone so that c-could tell him the same thing I'm t-telling you. Before I could act-actually get to tell why I was wary of her, s-she barged in and interrupted us. Almost as if she was keeping me fr-from telling him. The problem is, it's not the first time she h-had done it."

Nejire had finally stopped walking once they had reached a bench and sat down, Tamaki following suit as he watched her expression for any sign of her not believing him. "Shouldn't we test her just to be one hundred percent sure?" Tamaki's eyes widen and sat up straight before looking straight at Nejire. "I'm p-pretty sure we can. The only problem is h-how exactly do we provoke the other her to come out. I've noticed sh-she's quite cunning. " Nejire brings her hair forward, over her shoulders, and beings to fiddle with it as she ponders before sighing. "Aw man, all this thinking is giving me a headache." Tamaki couldn't but laugh, he knew just how much Nejire hated having to think so hard but he felt grateful that she was willing to help him out when she really needed him. He just wished that he could have Mirio helping them as well, even though he wasn't much of a bright thinker either, but Mirio always found ways to solve problems, but with the way (Y/n) constantly prowling around Mirio, he didn't see that happening any time soon. That's when it suddenly hits Tamaki like a freight train and he stands up so fast that he became so lightheaded he fell back while catching his breath. "I know! We can use M-Mirio against her!" Nejire smiled at him but tilted her head to the side to elaborate her confusion and Tamaki tries to calm himself down enough so that he could explain himself clearly to her.

"She's incredibly wary of me so I could definitely use that to my advantage. I can try to tell Mirio about (L/n)-san again and hopefully tr-trigger a similar response from h-her. Although, y-your going to have to stay out of her sight because she'll most likely p-pick up on what we're trying t-to do." It wasn't a well-thought-out plan but it was better than none and not doing anything at all, (Y/n)'s mental health was deteriorating rather quickly and only Tamaki could see that. "Hmmm...What do we do if the plan triggers something worse?" Tamaki blinked her way, her question catching him off guard, knowing that it was mostly her ADHD talking but it was an incredibly good question and it left him pondering. He interlaced his fingers together behind his head as he hunched over between his legs to ponder over her words more clearly. "I-I don't know." Nejire started humming to herself as she began looking around, every little thing that moves pulling her attention. "But w-we can't let her continue like this. I j-just know it's gonna bite us in the b-butt later if we let h-her continue like this." Tamaki immediately stands up after saying what he said and Nejire followed suit, her wide smile never disappearing from her face as she walked right behind Tamaki while he rushed back to class. He was feeling confident, which was a rare feat in itself but he didn't let his mind linger on the thought for too long as he searched for Mirio. He was much easier to find and finding him, he'd definitely find (Y/n).

That was the plan at least, Tamaki definitely wasn't counting on finding (Y/n) first and he could feel his heart drop to his stomach as he came eye-to-eye with her. Right at that given moment, it was perfect if it weren't for the fear she set in him as she stared straight into his soul. At that very moment, (Y/n) was looking at her but it wasn't her. It was someone else looking right back at him and he couldn't move a muscle as she smiled at him, not a single emotion behind her eyes. Due to the fact that he ran ahead, Nejire was way behind and most likely distracted by other things considering the fact she couldn't concentrate on a single thing for too long. This made Tamaki's situation so much worse, he watched (Y/n) as she searched behind him and hummed once she was satisfied that no one but him was in sight. "Why in such a rush?" The monotone voice coming from her gadget did not help at all with the heavy and rapid pace of his hammering heart. "I...I was j-j-j-just hanging w-w-w-w-with Ne-Ne-Nejire." When she took a second look around he felt his knees grow weak and he almost dropped to the ground when she looked at him again from the corner of her eyes before turning to face him again. "I don't see her." Tamaki gulped, hoping he could swallow the hard lump forming in his throat. "Y...Yeah...Th-That t-tends t-to happen w-with her. Her m-mind is all over th-the place." He didn't want to look her in the eye but his own fear kept him from being able to look away but it only got worse when her blank expression suddenly became amused, still no emotion behind her own eyes. Then she started humming and that's when everything started taking a turn for the worse.

"You should stay away from Mirio."

All the hair on his body stood on end at the unfamiliar voice that seemed to be coming from past (Y/n)'s lips and it wasn't just the fact that she was speaking when this whole time she had been supposedly mute, but the abysmal blacks staring straight into him from behind her. A dark red staticky figure that seemed to glitch in place loomed over her, its head craning in a way that made Tamaki's skin crawl as it leaned forward, its head upside down as it drew closer to Tamaki's face. That's when Tamaki notices the small humming sound coming from it, or at least that's what he thought it was until it was close enough for him to make out the many and unpleasant murmurings coming from it.

"Fucker."

"Annoying. So annoying."

"Keep away. Stay Away."

"Mine. Mine. Mine."

"In the way. You're in the way."

The last words he could make out made his blood run cold as he was now face-to-face with it, mere centimeters away, his breathing became shallow as it repeated its last words once more to him.

"I'll hurt you."

This was much more serious than he thought it would be.
