Chapter 20 (Finial)

Toshi told everyone what happened, then he heard someone fighting.

"You!"

Hutch was fighting a Reshiram mew mew, she looked furious. Toshi watched from the window.

"You're the ones who killed Kenji!" the girl screamed.

"Sparky got his revenge Aphrodite!" Hutch snapped, "He made it clear he doesn't love you! Why are you so rotten? What have I ever do to you?"

"I have absolutely nothing left to live for!" Aphrodite added, "My sanity is long gone now Hutch. If you weren't such a coward and finish Sparky while you had the chance to when Kenji killed his mother, I wouldn't have to send a wolf after you. Athena's dead, Kenji's dead, and so will you in a few minutes!"

Hutch lashed out his string shot move and the web clung onto her face like an octopus. Toshi dashed outside to help him.

"I got this," Hutch said, "I have things under control."

Toshi nodded.

"Ugh! This cobweb's so sticky!"

Aphrodite had the web removed.

"Oh look at that.. you have a bodyguard."

"He doesn't have to be in this!" Hutch huffed, "Aphrodite, you have crossed the line this time! Look what you've done to my face! I'm done being pushed around, and I'm not going to do anything for you, not ever!"

"Maybe I'll go after Sparky and finish him off myself since you won't." Aphrodite growled, "Since he lost his mother, I should make haste to that healing hut."

Toshi gasped.

"Over my dead body!" he huffed.

"No," Hutch added, "Let me handle this Toshi."

With that, Hutch used poison sting and it hit Aphrodite in the throat. The venom was taking effect as the Reshiram girl gripped on her neck. She felt the venom from the poison sting attack racing inside her body and she was feeling weak. Hutch took something from her.

"You see this?" he grinned, "You'll die without your spiritual bird Aphrodite. I've took away your ability to fly."

Toshi saw that the charm Hutch took from her is a Pidgey. he saw Aphrodite was on the ground now, She couldn't feel her hands and started coughing out blood, a sign that the venom from Hutch's poison sting attack has taken hold of her. Soon she was dead. Toshi looked down on her in horror. He looked like he's about to gag, but he did a little further away. Hutch looked down on Aphrodite's body.

"This is for putting us in jeopardy!" he groaned, kicking the girl's body in the bushes.

Toshi felt better after a few moments, he did lose his lunch.

"Is everyone okay?" Yumi called out.

She saw the damage.

"What happened here?"

Hutch explained.

"Well I think some smoothie berries will fix Toshi's stomach good as new," Yumi added.

"How is he?" Nairi asked Lloyd.

"He lost a lot of blood," the Litten boy answered, "but he needs time to recover from his wounds. I gave him some ointment for his massive wound."

Nairi looked down at her feet.

"He'll be okay," Lloyd purred, "He just needs some rest. I did what I can for him, for now."

Nairi was feeling like all this is her fault. She went up to Sparky who is still knocked out. She keeled down and looked at him.

'This is all my fault,' she thought, 'I should of done something to save myself... I shouldn't of been a coward, but Sparky took the damage for me, he killed Kenji... he won his mother's revenge... I could of moved fast enough... Sparky, I'm so sorry... I wish if there's anything I could do for you...'

The Plusle girl started to cry. Her tears landed near him and some of them splashed into his wound, healing it.

"Nairi, are you still-"

Lloyd paused for a moment and saw that Nairi's tears are healing Sparky's wound. He looked surprised that the those are healing tears.

"Keep crying Nairi," Lloyd called out, "It's working, his wounds are healing faster."

Nairi barely heard the Litten boy. She was too focused on crying over Sparky. Soon the biggest wound healed completely and Sparky's hand moved a little, touching one of Nairi's knees.

"Hey, it worked," Lloyd purred.

Nairi looked down and saw Sparky's eyes are open.

"Nairi, don't you see what your tears did there?" Lloyd purred again, "You have healing tears, they healed most of Sparky's wounds!"

Sparky tried to speak, but his words are too quiet to hear. Nairi leaned in closer to hear him.

"You were using your tears to heal me..?" Sparky asked.

"Lloyd said they did," Nairi cued, "You had me scared Sparky, I thought I was going to lose you.."

"True love, wins anytime..." Lloyd purred in amusement.

He saw that Yumi, Hutch and Toshi were entering the hut. Lloyd knew something was up.

"I'll just leave and have a look at your brother..." he said leaving them to be alone.

Nairi and Sparky looked at each other in each other's eyes, knowing that everything is back to normal. They looked outside and saw a flock of ravens landing near them. Nairi knew that they are after Kenji, who's been dead for nearly an hour. She knew ravens are good allies since Rick made a deal with them quite a while ago.

"Those ravens..." Sparky sighed, "I bet they're eating him..."

Nairi looked sick.

"Sorry, trying to lighten the mood here," Sparky cued, "At least he won't be a problem anymore. I feel peaceful now. I won my mother's revenge and I'm glad I did. I couldn't let him kill you like he did to my mother, that was the same attack he used on her. I did something about it."

"I'm glad you did that for me," Nairi cued, "I love you so much Sparky."

She and Sparky rubbed noses.

"I love you too," Sparky cued back, "I'll forever live here for the rest of my life. You and your family gave me the courage I needed to face Kenji. I am grateful for what you did for me. You gave me a home I can live in."

Nairi knew this is all true. She helped him find courage, a home, food and someone he loves. She looked out the window and one raven flew off. So did the rest of the flock. She started to get tired.

"Well, looks like my sister's going to stay with him for the night," Toshi grinned.

"Well, I'm glad that no one else is hurt," Lloyd sighed, "Better get home and I'll get my parents to get rid of the bodies nearby."

Nairi was all ready asleep beside Sparky. Looks like there is peace in this land once again. Her thoughts will be racing in her mind for a while until the day she will be with Sparky for a very very long time. So this was a great tale to tell others of the bravery of the kids. Like Fuyuki, Kenji was cursed as a punishment. Nairi was asleep soundly and Cleo appeared watching her.

"Sleep well little one," she cued, "You have a bright future ahead of you."
